Water leaks into boats from below and bathrooms from above, most educational chat i can remember.

I was reminiscing with my dad about the family trip we had to Loch Lomond. He grounded the boat somehow and water started coming in. He told me my mum was lying in bed counting the number of times the bilge pump was coming on. It started at once every ten minutes but then it got down to once every 30 seconds.
A bad business. I’m not sure I had that level of detail before.
I believe I would be a more careful skipper than my father.

Boats? If we were meant to be in the water, we'd have flippers.* *No offence, Shenguin. If we were meant to be on dry land, we wouldn't have water coming through the ceiling.

I haven't got water coming through the ceiling. If it was that bloody obvious, the gent wouldn't have spent 2 hours tracking down the cause.
You sack*
*No offence.

Jesus Christ. Went to our local library, child is browsing and doing a quiz.
I asked the staff "Do you still have an OPAC?"
"A what" "An OPAC... a catalogue..."
Fucking hell.

Bring back those wee drawers with index cards in, I say. That was bleeding edge technology in the 80s.

The PC they used to use for it is gubbed. She was going to put me on a public pc but I said I'd use my phone. I never used to get a signal in here but I do now. Index cards are the perfect thickness for roach material. Apparently. Box fresh ones, not ones out the tray. Finding Index cards all over the floor, along with all the tickets when still on the Browne system, on a Saturday morning hung over to fuck as you've been broken into overnight is one of the worst experiences of your life.

Bring back those wee drawers with index cards in, I say. That was bleeding edge technology in the 80s. I followed all the instructions in buying index cards and a box for them. I think I managed to fill in one index card (Badly) before getting deadly bored. I may still have a plastic box and 99/100 thirty year old index cards somewhere As new, one careless owner. Offers accepted. Buyer finds and collects

Remember Windows having a box file app or whatever such things were called back in the dark ages.

Paris is a beautiful city but …
I don’t know. It doesn’t quite work as a TV spectacle.
