hi
I was making a roast dinner today. Well - I made a nut roast, and I roasted some potato, cauliflower and carrot. It wasn’t a smorgasbord of roasted food and actually the nut roast was technically baked. But it was nice. I drank some wine and watched some football. I cooked some peas as part of the dinner too. They were a bit of a downer. I’m not really into peas but didn’t want to go out to the shops for green beans. Sunday bloody Sunday.

I thought roasting needed oil.

What's the difference between roasting and baking? I would guess ingredients but intrinsically nothing. More a language thing which cleverer people than me can explain

The internet is inconsistent in explaining the difference….

The consensus seems to be that baking usually involves foods that have no prior shape, like dough or cake mix. And that baking is done at a lower temperature.
But what about baked potatoes? The difference between baked and roast potatoes is plain to see.

What's the difference between roasting and baking? If you get roasted your feelings get hurt, if you get baked speak to crank about chews.

I thought roasting needed oil. The fbi seem to have surplus baby oil after Diddy.

I started watching 'Schindler's List' earlier. It was a bit dull, 'Bread, milk, beans...'
