Bad advice then.
Try thoruoghly liquifying the whole thing, and hold your nose as you siphon it down your gullet. Calories without the poor flavour.

I mocked and jeered Tuffers’s soup. And I am being punished. The soup god’s were having none of your sass.

Have you seen the sole Subaru EV offering? It’s just a Toyota BZ4 in new clothes. They’ve rebadged it, you fool!

Soup is just something you have while you wait for the proper food to arrive.

Brown some onions now, until they're good and soft, stir in a little stock and any other herbs or spices that you fancy, and then add to the soup now. Won't be perfect, but might rescue it. Edit: and garlic. This is good advice. Only I’ve got no onions. I only had half an onion and I used it. Add a stock cube.

This post is best experienced with Roachford playing full blast in the background.

Shenguin knows his onions (and garlic) lazybones a stick blender is about £12 to £15 for a cheap one. Get yourself one and we shall never talk of this matter again. Good for whizzing up pasta sauce as well.

The soup I’ve made isn’t right. It’s a bit bland, a bit too salty and somehow not salty enough. I’m confused. What can I do? I think it’s because I blended the vegetables before cooking. I neglected to brown the onions. Par boil or steam the veg, sauté the onions and add to a saucepan then pour a Newcastle brown over the top and heat on medium 30 min, add herbs and flavour/black pepper and simmer for 15 mins. Job done.

Good for whizzing up pasta sauce as well. I blended half of the soup at the end. And added it back in. I suppose I could get a stick blender. We did have one but only used it once in ten years. Hmmm The soup is now in a better place. The flavour shortfalls have been fixed.

hi
The soup was ok. It was an ok first attempt. I quite liked it.
It was nowhere near the quality of the soups I’ve had in Turkish restaurants, but … it was ok …
