Fuck it, I'm buying No Mans Sky tomorrow. I suggest you watch some gameplay videos before you commit. It is very much about co-op or solo exploration with the odd space pirate thrown in for good measure. If you do get it I suggest starting in Creative mode for a day or so to get the hang of the controls before starting a new game in Normal or Survival mode. Or you could also try Permadeath if you like to live dangerously... |

Where is Chumbles these days? Not sure. He hasn't been around these parts. He has been playing web Diplomacy though. Last seen 22nd June so I'm assuming the old goat is still with us. That's good news. I'm also glad that the pain in the plums 'Limni' AKA the shaved rat in a suit doesn't post here. 'Cat Ramps', indeed... I'm leaving. I've assessed the situation, and I'm going.. |

For me RPGs come from Japan. All your Fallout/Skyrim/Witcher nonsense comes under WRPG.
Anyway, managed to salvage some usable silicon from some old tubes and freshen up/seal a couple of bits in the bathroom last night. I take it when everyone does it, they notice an imperfection then get locked in an infinite loop where they try to fix it, make it worse, try to fix it, make it worse etc until they give up?
In other news, we did "body sparring" at boxing class on Tuesday and I took a shot to the kidney, which is still giving me grief. Starting to worry it's taken some damage.

Had a quick blast of NMS yesterday, got killed by those stupid robot defenders for digging up a plant, way to over react. Looks pretty though and I like the 3rd person view, will play some more today

I've got Shadow of War unopened and Xcom2 barely started, but I can't get excited about either. I also have this nagging voice in my head telling me I need to buy AC Origins in the sale, as I fancy owning and not playing that. It's a fucking conundrum and no mistake.

When I'm wiggling from home I like to pretend I'm working for one of those newfangled startup companies - water on tap, relaxed dress code (I've popped my top button open - trousers or shirt I will leave to your imagination), socks optional, video games sitting unplayed because no one actually has time to play video games at work.

Thanks for the tips, lads. I will give Shadow of War a go. Played the Souls games, Faceless, I do like them though the only one I've managed to complete is Demon's. I do also quite fancy Norman's Sky. I would love to invade Destry and wave frantically at him like they was no goddam tomorrow. Meanwhile, Melvazord has just been modded for expressing the opinion that Super Tennis is a game. They are laying waste to us over there, it's like the Cuphead review all over again. |
