Also there are these things called timezones. Children from other countries come online and kill you slash shit talk yer 'mom' They tend to stick us Brits on the EU server for Fortnite, but you can select others if you want. There will be a worse "ping" though which I am told is bad. |

There will be a worse "ping" though which I am told is bad. Its easier to find a squad on the EU servers, but less easy to find one where everyone talks the same language. I'm also pretty sure that I played a game with someone who lived inside a bathtub or some kind of lagoon, because they sounded like they were underwater. The septics, although they speak the same language, can be bloody horrible to play with, mainly because they can't hack losing and have a tendency to call people a bundle of sticks on a regular basis.

We won't be on EU servers for long. At best we'll get really slow access to them.

Last night's brief gaming session consisted of doing side quests in the Octopus Travelling Show. I love the gentle pace of it all. My favourite thing is scrutinising everyone. I must know everything about every person in this town! What's that? I only have a 12% chance to find out that this man used to be an accountant and prefers chocolate ice cream over strawberry? Challenge accepted!
Then I came across a character who was labelled "Muttering Codger", prompting my other half to give his best muttering codger impression. He's very good at it. A natural, you might say.
Edit: Ah, I see that today I'm practically surrounded by muttering codgers.

Hello all. I'm off work for the next two weeks, booya!
Went to see that Mission: Impossible Fallout film with my dad and brother. Really very, very good. Amazing stunts, and car chases that reminded me of Ronin.
4 stars.
Prior to that, went out to Cafe Rouge and had a fillet steak. Boodiful. Made even better by the merlot dripping gravy.
Today has been just as exciting: Sainsbury's and B&Q.

Hi. I was in Glasgow for the European championships. The action at the velodrome last night was truly spectacular. I almost burst into tears when Katie Archibald won the eliminator race.
@fortnite. Still no solo wins for me, and played it since Xmas. But it's true, you don't half hear some strange accents on squad mode.

I believe today is the last of the hot weather round these parts. Back to low 20s for the next couple of weeks then I expect a further fall in to September. Finally, I will sleep like a baby.

I don't think you need to have watched any of them. There are a couple of call-backs, but there's enough exposition to work out the hows and whys. |
