Ronin, now there’s a film. Maybe I’ll rethink going to see MI, although I’m not sure I saw the last one, will that matter? I don't think you need to have watched any of them. There are a couple of call-backs, but there's enough exposition to work out the hows and whys. Does it answer the how’s and why’s of a man in his mid fifties doing his own stunts? Or constantly having leading ladies half his age? Or his middle tooth? |

Also, I played delicious games and drank exciting beer!
Had a go on Witcher, going through the prologue and thought I was good enough to take down a wraith in a graveyard. I was wrong. Hadn’t saved for a while, couldn’t be bothered to go through stuff again so switched it off. Fired up Norman’s Guy, where I pootked about for 5 minutes before it froze on me and I couldn’t be bothered, so I went orc bashing instead. Later I also started a Long War 2 game on Xcom 2.

I'm just getting worried that the delayed Dark Souls Remastered for the Switch will finally be released later this month (they said "summer", unless they are going by September equinox?) and that I won't be around to have my preordered copy delivered because I will be away. Should I cancel my preorder? I was expecting it back in May.

Just had another of those "hello, madam, your internet connection is broken" scam calls. These days I'm prepared for it and only answer the phone in German. The poor scammer didn't know what to do and passed me on to his supervisor, who tried his best by speaking English slooo-ow-ly. Eventually I hung up. They rang again and asked to talk to someone who speaks English. I handed the phone to Mr Tent Rooster who greeted them in Arabic. He then helpfully translated some of choice swear words he was using for them (in our household these people are known only as "the haramis" = bastards), cursed them a bit in German for good measure and then told them to go to hell in English.
They didn't phone again.

I've just 'cooked' an aubergine for the first time. That's right, someone who's older than 35 but younger than 55 (hat tip to JBG) has done something new. Obviously I've eaten it before, but now I've cooked it. Roasted it in oil and salt (loads), then added to a spicy chicken stew at the last minute as a crunchy/salty/soggy topping. We'll I added what was left, as I'd scoffed half. They were like a veggie pork scratching.
Aubergine = other things that matter.
