My younger self was really keen on the idea of keeping reptiles. I had all the literature and everything. Unfortunately my younger self neither had the budget nor the approval of her mother for this enterprise.
So I looked after my friend's gerbil during the holidays instead. It wasn't the same.
Nowadays I've got a husband and a cat. It still isn't the same.

Someone has to like my jokes and there was a temporary shortage of external candidates. It was a new blog *thing* for a while. Some members still do it, mostly shenguin because noone likes his posts either. Another blog thing is to randomly like old posts from people several months ago, but for some reason pyjackson thinks that's "creepy". |

I have a friend who grew up on the other side of the iron curtain. Obviously, being poor Commies meant that her family couldn't afford luxuries like pets - animals were there only as livestock. She did have a favourite amongst the pigs, but her family had that for dinner one birthday.
She wanted a pet so much that someone from a local snake club* gave her a snake skin, which she then stuffed with old newspaper to make her own pet snake.
*not a euphemism

What about when they split the series over a large timeframe? e.g. breaking bads last series/season? How is that a season? The second half is the continuation of a series. i.e. A set number of episodes. A season doesn't have a break. |

Just started S3 of The Wire on the way home. You might have heard of it. I've never watched The Wire. I've heard how good it is. I dunno why. Same as Sopranos. I think it's cos I find out about these things when everyone else is on series 3 or 4. I did look into the sopranos series 1 a while back, maybe via prime, but it was over a tenner. I think I need to retire so I have more time. Oh. Mafia 3 is downloaded and ready to play. But I'm watching that bloke from that SAS programme trying to get himself murderised by Colombian drug gangsters. They all look off their mash on ecstacy pipes. It's pretty shit. Fuck it, mafia 3 here I come. |
