I got some codes for that PS4 CODBLOPSIIII beta if anyone wants one. I was checking out the reddit sub for it yesterday and the general consensus it's a good, smooth running game. I'll probably pick up a copy before Xmas, but there is unlikely to be any cross play which is a shame. |

Started Yakuza 5. Lots of cut scenes. Started far too late and needed to go to bed. |

Hi!
No games for ages, mainly because by the time I gain control of the telly I am too knackered. Watched more Altered Carbon, still impressed with the setting but the episode of wall to wall torture pork seemed unnecessary.
Also The Witch. Unsettling but could be improved if Finchy had boasted about throwing a shoe over the biggest Puritan homestead.

Games: no proper games, just finished off a technology win in Civ Rev on the phone.
TV: Bake Off.
Back to work today after two days holiday. Partner seems alright now, and neither myself nor the boy appear to have contracted her stomach bug.

Salutations
I've realised that my half-marathon is fast approaching and I need to not die. So, after doing very little running during the month of August and having a cold for the past week, I managed to get out and run seven miles last night. I'll probably try to avoid booze until the race as that should enhance my ability to run without having to train. 18 days to go.
I'm still waiting for the Shenmue patch to come out, so I looked up the length of time it would take to max out my fishing level in order to get the platinum in FFXV last night. 2 -3 hours. Of fishing. I think I'm done with that game now.
On top of that, the website for the first Open Uni module of my final year opened up last night. Can't wait.*

Yesterday the cat used Mr Tent Rooster's upper body as a climbing post to get to the back of the sofa. He sustained two puncture wounds and is in pain. This is no joke. They might be quiet when they make you bleed, but you'll be screaming in pain. |

Many years ago I was putting a DVD in the player, kneeling on the floor, when the kitten jumped on my back digging all four paws & claws in and hanging there. The shit. How about about the time it slashed my wrist in mid-air by jumping off the kitchen table onto the back of the sofa on which I was sitting. I remember looking at my wrist thinking, 'that stings a bit, but there's no blood'. And then, like a horror film, the blood started flooding out from the slash wound. I knew then that we should have got tropical fish instead. |

Last night: Dinner: Zürcher Geschnetzeltes with pork stir fry, a bag of French frozen mushrooms, spaetzle and a packet sauce I smuggled into the country. It's to die for (no one way ticket to Zurich necessary). TV: checked out what all the hype is about and started watching Bodyguard. Okay so far. Games: 10 minutes of Octogenarian Troubler, going from A (Flamesgrace) to B (Quarrycrest), robbing the people of C (S'warkii) blind because I've really levelled up since last time I visited. OTTM: hoping that this week our bins will be collected after they forgot our street last time (they came round three days later, but still). |
