F..f..f..FRIDAY!
Them video games the kids are all into: Gran's Tiramisu. I won my first online race last night after god knows how many tries. Alain Prost I am not.
It was a bloody good race, I qualified second and the whole race was me and the guy who got pole just swapping first and second miles ahead of everyone else, pushing each other to go faster and faster. Then on the last lap he was ahead but I was right on his bumper. He made a bit of an error going through the fast left-right that enabled me to pull slight alongside, then, on the 3rd to last corner, which was a hard right, he outbraked himself a little going out wide and I used all the road I could to squeeze him over to the left even further which put me in front of him going through the last fast s-bend and I won by about 0.1 of a second.
It was a great, very fair race and I don't think we touched the whole way round.
That telly: More Penny Dreadful. The old guy with the mad hair is the best.

Games: a bit more FF7. Met Barratts one armed mate, did the awful chocobo race to get out of the gold saucer, got a sweet buggy to get round the map, and now have no idea where I'm supposed to be going. 20 year old games are the best/worst.
World cup draw: England will get Russia, Iceland and Australia.

Not much gaming got done last night, although I have rediscovered Fire Emblem Heroes, much to my wallet’s dismay.
I’m mostly just counting the hours today as I’m seeing Mastodon live in Cardiff tomorrow.

I’m mostly just counting the hours today as I’m seeing Mastodon live in Cardiff tomorrow. I mean I knew Wales was backward, but I didn't realise they still had pre-historic creatures roaming the streets. I kid, Mastodon are the shit. Leviathan is a metal masterpiece. I'm fairly jealous. |

Games: Fallout 4. Just mooching around the map, looking for random stuff I missed before. I only managed to find a waste land vendor.
Other: following Destry54's advice, I got out of pre-mod at the other place. All it took was some comments on oxtail stew and a good luck message to the league egg chasers.

I was only in premod for a couple if days, but then I'm not a trouble maker. I even tried to get back in it recently by swearing excessively on a baked beans article, and complaining about mods on a Pass Notes, but both were left unmodded.
DS2, dispatched the Smelter Demon and the Rotten with relative ease. Got invaded by some random swinging a big weapon, whom I dispatched after a short dance. Despite having been convinced since I first played that I'm terrible, I now realise I am vastly more experienced and skillful than my restart level suggests.

I like that they had to change the image for the Games review round up because someone in the comments pointed out the original one was from a completely different cricket game that was never even released. Looks like someone just typed ashes cricket game into the google image search..

Games - Xenoblade 2. It’s actually pretty good if you turn the sound off so you don’t have to hear the voice acting. *pushes glasses up nose* I’ll probably download the Japanese voice acting when it is on the eShop.
Other things that matter - at what time is it best practices to lock your office door and go to sleep under your desk? I’m thinking any time after about 8.55am.
