So it would be breathtaking arrogance to offer any tips. *Proceeds to offer tips* I assume you have a pizza stone? Do you batch make dough? A few balls in the freezer after its proved. You just have to defrost over night and then work it. Freezing sauce in ice cube trays. Again take a couple out for a pizza. We've got bigger trays as they were for making baby food. Makes a mid week pizza or a quick weekend meal easier. |

Nintendo keeps sending me emails and offering me rewards for reviews of games that I barely remember I bought. They seem to be unfamiliar with the concept of backlog. I guess I'll be making shit up then.

I have a pizza stone, but I find it easier to use the circular trays with the holes in them as there's no scorching hot stone to burn yourself on. I live alone so everything I cook is done in batch. I make enough for 4 pizzas, have one that night, make the other on a tray and put it in the fridge (so this one is incompatible with the pizza stone anyway) while the first one is cooking and freeze enough dough and sauce for two more. Dough recipe was one of the first results on google for "authentic Italian pizza dough" years ago: 1kg flour, 600ml water, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt and a sachet of yeast. Knead for 10 mins and leave for at least 3 hours. Edit: Never had a pizza crunch crank? How is that possible? |

There was supposed to be a big group of us from uni/'the golden years' out in Edinburgh today, but inevitably life got in the way for most of them and it's ended up just the usual three of us plus one. I get the impression that getting everyone together isn't going to get easier as we get older.
Still, off to my favourite pub later. Hopefully it's not full of human detritus from the other place (not you*) after they named it one of their 50 best pubs last week.

I've just discovered the trapper,have not gone for any outfits yet. Spent most of the morning getting an elite horse and kitting her up, she was a bastard to find but it was worth it, endless stamina and rapid. If anyone's interested you can find her in the mountains to the north, by the lake with the legendary fish. |
