Games are for infants and the mentally feeble.
I am at a brewery. Four stars

There's a single-player/multiplayer joke to be had here, but I'm a bit too tired to get the wording right.

I can't remember any game really grabbing me to play compulsively since HZD, which was last year I think. So for 2018 I'll go for Octopath Traveller, which I have not played in person but feel like I have lived every minute of.

JBG has got a Guardian pick for saying that watching Norwich must be very exciting this season. The football mods are dancing on the grave of the box with standards like that - picks all over the place and not even a basic fish pun in sight.

Is any one still working? I'd like to be at a brewery but getting over the end of the cold that took out most of the group at work.
Alcohol will kill off everything and make it all feel better?

I'm off today as it's Friday and I'm usually off. School run, cleaning etc. I have to go in on Monday till half three. The switch shall be with me as I'm the only one in the office.
{Edit} if anyone phones in sick on Mon I'll need to cover a counter stamping books. If that's the case I'll be less than festive.

I am stuck at work 'til 4.30 pm. Got quite a lot on as well. I’m back at work and have opened up the HMRC website. That’s about as far as I’ve got. I do, however, now have a case of delicious craft wanker beer.

I'm working and drinking. A combination that cannot go wrong. I'd also like to make it clear that I'm now fully dressed and out of bed.
I have plenty of work to do between Christmas and New Year, but none of it will involve being in an office.

That's confusingly phrased. I know you mean twenty £1 knee tremblers. I'm hoping to do more business than just twenty though!

I am still working - trying to install Sharepoint 2016 and my shiny new 4K gaming monitor is waiting for me to pick up from the box.co.uk depot, which just happens to be on my route home about 2 miles from my house. Grrrr.
The silver lining is that I am now pretty much on holiday until the 7th January.

I've received a Christmas card from an old friend which has a massive photo of him, his wife and his kid on the front instead of a Christmas tree or a santa. Is this a thing or is he just mental? It's disconcerting having them grinning psychotically at me from the mantlepiece.

I finished work at 3:20pm today, despite my colleagues throwing spanners into the works.
I am now prepping for a night out with many beers.

Yeah, I think it's a thing when a Certain Type of Person has kids. My Certain Type of Person friend used to send round robin letters as well. My advice is to chuck it in the bin and have a steak* instead.
*Aged ribeye beef or Naturli vegan would be my suggestion.

You lucky people. There's no office parties or holiday for me. That's the downside of being retired I suppose.
I've foolishly volunteered to cook the Xmas Eve meal for the family. They've even more foolishly accepted my offer. Does anybody know what time Gregg's closes on Monday?
