Umm... that turn took me to over 500 hrs. on this rig alone; on my old PC I ran it direct, but I reckon I must be over 1k by now... Oh, and that one more turn hasn't finished. The troll king and his bastard trolls spawned all over my empire. I had to defend two immediate city attacks, pre-dawn... an hour and a half gone; the Sun rose and my major vassal who I'd protected with a decent hero and units had the Troll king and seven fecking trolls hove into sight just one space away... oh, AND an Eldritch Horror with 5 Wisps blink into existence right next... sheee-it... I'm very lucky the hero'd a lvl10 necromancer. I HAVE to kill the Horror and Wisps without losing a unit - the Wisps are lethal, the little bastards phase in around a target unit, and every single one of them has a good chance of stunning their target... Normally you'll weather there attacks by circling the likely target. Trouble is that also bunches them up so the electrostatic AOE attack can hit all your stuff with up to 20 damage; you can end it's attack with just one unit able to move... If the hero hadn't been a necromancer, the Horror could have Dominated my hero and ended up with most of BOTH stacks destroying my vassal... that attack just finished. Now, I really must get some sleep..  |

How are you all today? I am very unwell, and basically have the worst sore throat that any man has ever suffered. I'm beginning to think alcohol and late nights aren't the way to cure it. Oh well, today's drinking is mandated to start at lunchtime, so perhaps that will help.

I'd like your thoughts on that. Ok. I didn't think it was. He was talking about a pub that only allowed women in after 1988. He said he missed male only spaces and what they brought. He also said that when he started out mother in law jokes were popular with comics but he thought they were shit and weren't really fair game. Weren't expecting that eh? {Edit} My 'sarry heed' story - ok my dad's. He played occasionally in the band in the barras ballroom across the road. They would go into the sarry head for a drink during their break as it was quicker getting served than in the ballroom. One of the guys in the band pushed his way to the bar to get served and got a gun to the head. The barman shrugged it off and went behind the guy and hit the gunman over the head with a bottle "Don't mind him... What you having lads?" |

Congratulations Wolfy- marriage is the best institution.
It was good to see old friends yesterday. It must be 10 years since the first group of Guardian chatterboxers met in real life for a Monster Hunter session,
I’ve made some real friends through that site and now many are scattered all across the globe, yesterday was full of memories of PES live, Various Grey Horse pubs and of course being banned from BAFTA.
Now all those young single hardcore gamers, many are now married, settled down, have their own kids - who were sat at their own table yesterday playing Pokemon Let’s Go.
I think it’s time that we start investing in a Care Home for gamers.
