I have just discovered Dowling's contribution to the "Reader's Best Games of 2018" feature at TOP (The Other Place). His choice is Octopus Travel Agent. discussion.theguardian.com/comment-permalink/124152174This isn't the first time I have suffered the shock of agreeing with him. I must re-examine my life choices. Maybe I fall into the "feeble-minded" category after all. I was trying to classify myself as a reluctant groan-up.

Congratulations Wolfy- marriage is the best institution. It was good to see old friends yesterday. It must be 10 years since the first group of Guardian chatterboxers met in real life for a Monster Hunter session, I’ve made some real friends through that site and now many are scattered all across the globe, yesterday was full of memories of PES live, Various Grey Horse pubs and of course being banned from BAFTA. Now all those young single hardcore gamers, many are now married, settled down, have their own kids - who were sat at their own table yesterday playing Pokemon Let’s Go. I think it’s time that we start investing in a Care Home for gamers. Sounds dreadful.

TV. Billy Connolly thing. Need to search on twitter to see if his comments on pubs were deemed misogyny or not. Do we need to find out the public-sanctioned view on things before we can laugh at them now? Not sure. Maybe we need to put it to a vote.

Can you really make actual friends from these places? To me this is more like some kind of horrific virtual Ripley's believe it or not.
And most of the time I can't/won't believe it.

There were some but not as many as expected. It wasn't the humour but comments on life in general I was talking about Been for a walk round Pollock Park.

While looking through a drawer of old crap I came across the Skyrim map It's made me want to play it again And post wall of text updates, like Tent Hen
The fact that this rhymes is completely coincidental.

A combination of another masterful, largely a capella version, after the style of Pentatonix (brilliant) and a movie quiz... And a link to a fascinating reprise by Andy Serkis of his iconic roles - it is 25m long...

Big crime in little island!
When I visited my mum she told me how everyone on the island was upset about thieves breaking into the local post office the week before Christmas, ripping open envelopes and parcels and stealing the contents. Can you imagine how many Christmas biscuits baked by grannies they walked away with??! It was also a bold move as the post office isn't far from the police station.
They were never caught, and now the post office was broken into a second time when it was closed over Christmas! The police think they might be dealing with the same culprits - no shit, Sherlock! The modus operandi was the same: they kicked in the door to gain access to the premises. The post office is now considering improved security. People are upset that mail that has been stolen from won't be delivered but returned to the central post office. If the post office thinks that your envelope or parcel has only been opened without having anything taken they will repackage it and deliver it.

Congratulations wolfy! Life assurance up to date?
AC: Odyssey- my hubris has repeatedly been my downfall. The same fort three times, death every time. I need to rein myself in.
Just back from dinner at Pizza Express with the boy. He absolutely amazed us with his calm behaviour, and ate very well. Four stars.

Paragraph 2: regret hubris.
Paragraph 3: boast about child's behaviour.

My child ate well but also used the large mirrors to watch herself dance. Also Mrs Cranks dad ordered something not on the menu. I'm hoping his pizza was the only one with spit on.

Mooching about in BOTW. Just getting used to the controls properly before I restart it.
{Edit} It's great. Don't want to restart as I've picked up loads - but I'd imagine I'll get it all again. The beardy old fuck will still want the stuff for the glider.

The Great Post Office Heist. It was my excitement about the Christmas biscuits that gave it away, wasn't it?
Anyways, I'm off to Brazil.
