Toast with blue cheese sliced on top. Only now am I wondering if that particular cheese was blue when I bought it pre-xmas. I do recall it being reduced as short-dated....

Last of the party nibbles for lunch, although I find the lack of Prosecco disturbing. Apropos yesterday's sprouts discussion I wanted to say that I regard the traditional British Christmas dinner as a culinary highlight. My winning combo is sprouts with pancetta and chestnuts, bread sauce, roast potatoes, glazed roast parsnips and roast turkey with sage & onion stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce with port. I didn't have to do it this year, but usually my family gets worried that I have to spend hours in the kitchen preparing this. I always reassure them that I wouldn't do it if I didn't want to eat it myself and if anyone could do it the way I like it. I'm basically cooking for myself and they are lucky that there's a lot to share. Btw, did anyone try out these Sainsbury's teas? We were discussing the Walkers crisps.

I thought you were exiled to a remote volcanic island for Christmas?

Happy New Year! Is that thing that Conchord posted a photo of really a PC? It looks like something a modern day Child Catcher would use to lure in its victims.

I thought you were exiled to a remote volcanic island for Christmas? I was, which is why I didn't have to do the cooking. Sadly, I missed out on the sprouts and turkey. It was more of a self-imposed exile to escape the threat of Christmas chicken pox.

It certainly looks like conch has gone full on power gamer with that thing. Presumably there is one of those gamer chairs with built in LED underlighting to maintain a seated position in front of the monitor too.
Merry wiggler Wednesday!

Killed it again. Anyone finding the "most anticipated games of 2019" list at The Other Place a bit weird? Maybe it's going to be a worldwide phenomenon like Pokémon Go, but I can't get excited about yet another Harry Potter game for mobile. (And no mention of the actual Pokémon game that's supposed to be released this year).

It is nice that Conchord found a way to utilise his Christmas decorations throughout the year. Waste not want not!

I just worked out how much I spent on games last year, it is not a pretty sight, so fewer games this year, the only one I'm excited for is:
Strangely not in the list at the other place

I suppose we are assuming that Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding and Metroid Prime 4 are still pie in the sky as far as this year is concerned.

I don't see why we need a ps5 just yet. Loads of great ps4 games. Maybe if it's got built in/comes with an improved psvr, as I'm thinking of taking that step to an extra level of nerd, but don't think it's needed.
OTTM - I'm back at work tomorrow, first day since 20th Dec. I'm not ready. Although I am at home, Friday too, still shit though.
More games. I'm now up to level 5 master hunter and also survivalist on RDR2. Still chapter 3 on story though, but can't be far off 4 now. Love this game. Missions apart, it's beautiful, relaxing and a masterpiece. Just like my face.
