So, that game finally finished at 3 am this morning; great... I sleep for whole 2 hours, but I gotta get up to take tablets which means breakfast as some require food, so I ablute and it's 8am; the air mattress is a bit deflated but gotta get up to take the shopping off Tesco Tom between 9-10... 9.50 sort it; meanwhile Nursey calls to tell me to take the morphine ... I get back onto the bed to rest, but Nursey arrives an the flaying commences. "You do realize Chumbles that your mattress is deflating ..." So my exhausted pain racked brain wrecked body has to call the emergency number whilst limping around (can't sit or stand still). "Where's the bed deflating?" "Underneath me." "Where, precisely?" "Precisely under my body." wtf is this, animal, vegetable or mineral? "Is it deflating anywhere else?" *sigh* "An air mattress distributes the air to cushion the body evenly so a pressure sore isn't created. It's failing to do this as after 10-15 minutes it has deflated so my arse is resting on the metal frame." "There's no need to shout Mr Chumbles, I'm not technical... so she gives up and arranges for a technician to bring a replacement ... you guessed it. I've spent the afternoon wandering around trying not to fall asleep or stand still or break anything when I jerk awake.  I STILL can't fall asleep as it's evening tablets and food. I'm horribly tired |

This has worked well in the past - just look at all the chat I've killed. This is why instead of food and medicine I have stockpiled enough games to last me for the next 50 years, i.e. until JRM's estimate for reaching the sunlit uplands of Brexit becomes reality. |
