BabyfarkmcGeezak Hopefully good news about the xbox. I thought it wasn't powering up or the like. Powering up is all it does. Every app icon just leads to the same message (blah blah is taking too long to load error message blah blah). There is a help option at this point, which hilariously also takes too long too load. Can't do anything with it, can't watch DVD or play Fortnite etc... |

Games: I continue on my quest to 100% Octogenarian Travel Pass. Last night I managed to acquire my first battle-tested weapon. These are apparently the best weapons in the game and will only become available after finishing all stories. I also did a small side quest.
My plan hasn't worked out so far. I visited an optional dungeon and was confronted by a monster that I wished to capture. Then, at one point, it took a single swipe at my whole party.
Me: "Ugh, that brought everyone to their knees and Therion is quite dead. Nobody panic. Cyrus, you give everyone a bunch of healing grapes. H'aanit, you revive Therion with an olive. And Tressa... oh, you still have one more turn with a charged weapon, would be a pity to waste it, go ahead..."
*Tressa hits monster with weapon for some three-digit damage.*
Me: "Okay, Team, now the plan is to..."
*Tressa's rune spell hits for 14,563 damage.*
*Monster is instantly pulverised.*
Me: "Oops."
Yes, I could have easily gone back to my last save, but I couldn't be arsed. More careful next time.

I can't be bothered with the capturing stuff, maybe later when there are some decent monsters around, still collecting the second jobs, then on to Chapter 2, progress delayed as I have to steal/inquire from everyone each time I enter a new town, also challenging anyone blocking a door.
It's quite a restful game also I like xp/jp/money grinding

There's a bit of out of date blue cheese in the fridge, otherwise it's back on the cheddar next week.
