Morning. Games? No. I did, however, spend the evening in Stenhousemuir, which is a bit like a live action version of Resident Evil 2. The match experience was a Proustian flashback to the 80s: old fashioned terracing; stood close enough to the pitch to really insult the players personally; strong smell of urine; home fans starting a fire behind the far goal and dancing round it maniacally while a solitary police officer pretended not to notice. 5 goals, including one by Europe's hottest striker, 4 stars.

That sounds like the last time I was at Cappielow. Think I've said before my uncle used to take me to the fitba as a kid. Mainly as a way for someone to smuggle his half bottle of wine in.
Morning brexiteer/remoaners,
TV. More Brooklyn nine nine & Communityity S2; Abeds Xmas
Games. RC car racing & supercar racing in GTA. The RC cars are bit twitchy. Won't be spending $1.5m on one
Work. I'm one of two folk in the office this morning. Lots of phone answering. If I was there myself I could just let them ring.

When I was young and naive I once battled in to the office through the snow with a 5 mile hike to find I was only one of handful who made it in out of hundreds and I spent the whole day running around answering phones and getting none of my own work done. Young Babyfark learned a valuable lesson that day.
I watched Vice last night, it was actually pretty decent and if you like The Big Short you would probably like it.
Only a light dusting of snow around these parts so far.

Morning all!
Today is the first day in almost a week where I feel like my usual, awful-self. Whatever I had was a very strange illness, where each day presented a new set of symptoms completely separate from those before. Which does make me think that this may be euphoria before my brain gives up. Hmm.
TV! Finished Kimmy, which has been brilliant from start to finish. Also finished the latest series of It's Always Sunny, which was a bit... odd.
Games! Lots of Odyssey. More of the main quest.

It's Wednesday! I have nothing to say about this development.
Games - no Snow - no Working - at work, the worst place for it.
Right nww I need two positives.

I liked Vice a lot. It amused and angered me in equal amounts. Surely if ALL the phones are strangely nudged off their cradles its a tad suspicious?

What is this, amateur hour?
Divert/forward all phones onto one number, then take THAT phone off the hook.
Hammertime!

Did you enjoy your trip to Stenhousemuir?
I enjoyed Swansea. I am not disappointed with a 3-3 draw. It was a good game and to get a point there was pretty good when. It was a shame to let in a goal with 15 seconds left, but given we were poor for the first 30 minutes and played with only 10 from just before half time it as pretty good. I also got to see a comically bad double save from their keeper. There was a downward header which bounced right up. He palmed the ball up in the air, then palmed it into his net. Beautiful. Plus Che scored a proper nice goal.
Not getting stuck in snow was a bonus. I even came back via Merthyr, but no luck.

I had not been the Ochilview since the mid 90s, and it's a proper old-fashioned shite but friendly stadium. Also missed out on the snow, but only just after taking a wrong turn through some country roads in Clackmannanshire than had not been fully gritted. Match report: 4-1 the Dons, but we stopped trying after 3. 10 goals in 10 games for Big Sam - a slight improvement on his previous record of 2 goals in 2 years, as he continues his unstoppable march to the Ballon d'Or. We now have Greg Stewart back on loan off Birmingham, and unlike last year he looks like he has stopped shoving pies down his face. Good player when he's up to it. (We also have Stephen Gleeson, but he can't get into the team). Best goal of the night was an own goal by a Stenny defender who was going to cushion it back to his keeper, then decided to try to head it over the bar instead, and ended up planting it in the top corner in off the bar. He was rewarded with some personalised songs for the rest of the match. Birmingham seem to be doing well this year. Do you still have Lukas Jutkiewicz? He scored the best goal in this match, which is one of the most ridiculous 6-6 draws I have ever seen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQvQEFczWis

The Juke is ace. The Sky power rankings have him as best Championship player by a mile
I think they are possibly measuring the same attribute 34 times. He's been pretty good, but I am not sure he is our outstanding player of the season, let alone the Championship's best player.

Chumbles 136 Stars Brand 70 Stars Apparition 57 Stars ...I'm sure I can fuck it up still

Morning
Spaceblog! Bit of a delay since the last thrilling installment... the extra week kicking my heels at WP2 while the community goals ran their course was spent getting to use my shiny new HOTAS and trying not to die while messing around with the new controls. A necessary task, but not one that would entertain anyone but the nerdiest of nerds. Hello?
Anyhow - we are off again at last! WP3 co-ordinates published and course is plotted. I thought i'd take advantage of being near a station to spend a whole 3 Earth pounds in the Frontier store to pimp up the old girl with snazzy green exhaust trails, and an ID-tag. So, off into the big black again - taking things a bit slower and scanning anything interesting on the way, which is netting me some nice Earth-like worlds, as well as some intersting geologicals.
Stopped of at a planet with some truly impressive mountains - so high that you can actually orbit between some of the peaks. Of course this being Elite, we decided to see how many ships could actually land on the tip of the highest peak without anyone sliding off. Being night time made this more exciting, although less attractive to those wanting a spectacular screenshot. In the mayhem, one SRV went over the edge, but survived, as the fall was so great and the time between colliding with the cliffs so long, that he reported being able to self-repair between bounces.
Currently i'm docked at Rohini, and have crossed my 'Samwise Gamjee line' and am now further from home than i've been since starting this game in 2016. About halfway to WP3 and 9000 odd lys from the bubble. Forums are asking for interested pilots to sign up for some close-formation flying display training, so I expect to be entertained this weekend if i make it that far, by some amateur Red-Arrows type shennanigans.
Games? - none

Now that is a hell of a stadium. I'm not. Although it's convenient for me, all my Rangers supporting chums live further afield. Going by the frost on the ground this morning, it's unlikely it'll be on anyway. The stock car racing is probably in doubt too... Although, after the Fife derby at Stark's Park my friend has set himself the goal of dragging me to all the senior grounds in Fife, then possibly expanding this to Scotland, so I'll be there at some point. Partick's visit to Bayview is next on the list.
