Never can resist the opportunity to buy Final Fantasy on yet another platform. Well, as long as it's not IX. OTTM! My last training shift tonight before I'm on by myself! Good times! |

Hello.
TV. More S4 the wire on the commute.
Games. Trying to do the dispatch missions in GTA on hard, in stealth with my pal. The thermal scope and suppressed sniper rifle / pistol with hollow points the weapons of choice. Good fun. Done all six apart from no2. Managed to get out but I died in the getaway boat.
Absolutely chucking it down today.

I had a play with the Devils Hands in Deadspace last night. Murderous.
1) Point big foamy hand at nasty necromorph.
2) Pull trigger, comedic 'Pew' noise.
3) Enemy explodes instantly, bits everywhere.
4) Do a Waynes World style 'shring' victory dance.
5) Wonder when your life started to spiral out of control.

Mourning all. I had 3 or 4 games of Fortnite, but I haven't even had a kill in solo for ages. I did get a 3rd place though. The way of the coward. I also had one game in a new (to me, at least) mode with teams of 20 and respawning until one team has 100 kills. I was on the winning team, though I died about 4 times and only got one kill; I'd have been less unhelpful to my team if I'd hidden.
Pancakes with lemon and sugar.
BigG and PockSuppet on the box? Amazing scenes.

Morning all.
Three times I attempted a fort in Odyssey last night, was three bloomin' times. With a highish wanted level hovering over me. Meaning a few mercenaries having a go as well as the soldiers inside.
Hubris was my downfall each and every time. I put down the controller in frustration, and put on another episode of Ken Burns' The Vietnam War.
This covered the introduction of US combat troops, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, and the operation at La Drang.

Getting frustratated with a game is the worst. You'll go back to the same spot, breeze through it and wonder what the problem was.
The AC games have often been bad for individual difficult moments. Though it is usually a terrible stealth mission where you can't see why you are failing it.

There's one moment in AC-cowboys and Indians that stuck out for me, you had to sneak into their camp and steal 3 things I think? Took me fucking ages. |

See, this is why I'm playing a nice, wholesome, guaranteed not rage-inducing game of Detective Pikachu.
Games: I played a bit more Detective Pikachu.
Now that I've got the 3DS going again I've caved in and ordered the remake of Luigi's Mansion. Should be arriving later today. Why? Why couldn't they have made this one for the Switch? I've never played the original but love the concept and the sequel. Although, speaking of rage, I got stuck on a boss at the end of a veeerrry large staircase where you basically had to memorise the path. During the ensuing boss fight that makes you move like a hyperactive maniac I always gripped the little console so tightly that the game cartridge popped out, because in the New! 3DS they'd moved the cartridge slot to the front. I gave up after several tries.
One day I will return.

Oh and yesterday I jumpstarted a lady vicaress. That's increased my karmic standings no end. She was highly impressed by my booster pack and called me an angle. There were so many opportunities for double-entendres that I may have just stood there biting my tongue and grinning like a loon.
