I have a pan for poaching eggs with the wee cups that shape them into half domes.
Get the water boiling, eggs in, toast on. When the toast is ready so are the eggs.

Mini pork pie and coleslaw. Last night we had a mock KFC for dinner and I bought too much coleslaw for it. Therefore coleslaw for breakfast, lunch, and supper. And for elevenses.

Last night I had casserole made with Linda McCartney sausages, baked beans, onion, various spices (heavy on the Ajwan seeds) and a large glass of red wine, finished with an egg poached on the top of it all. To be fair to me, I've done it before, and I'll do it again, but probably never while sober.

Hi, I've seen Equilibrium, great movie with some incredible 'Gunkata' fight scenes. Christian Bale at one point reconnects with his humanity via an adorable puppy who then accidentally grasses him up to the Police causing him to slaughter a whole squad of them. Definetly one to watch. Ive got Nissin Teriyaki in the cupboard, but the cook in a pot version, they are supposed to be fried which involves cooking the water totally away then adding the sauce at the end and stirring it around. Theyre ok but I like mine with soup.
I had Samyang spicy today, they are good, came with a generous portion of dried Scallions too.

Poached eggs: bring a largeish saucepan 1/3 full of water with a dash of vinegar (to help the white set) to a full boil, turn down the heat slightly. Break an egg into a small bowl. Whisk the water to create a whirlpool and gently, very gently, like a considerate lover, add the egg from the bowl to the centre of the whirlpool. Put the lid on and wait three minutes or so. Always use the freshest possible eggs, this is important. Remove the egg carefully, removing any rubbish looking bits from the egg. Bring the water up to a high boil again before doing the second egg.
I also like eggs done in a poacher, but they are very different from properly poached eggs.
Hollandaise sauce is nice with poached eggs and spinach or watercress, but a faff to make from scratch.

Just to add to the poaching.
I break and egg into a cup, whisk the boiling water (counter clockwise) then submerge the cup and egg, allowing the egg to partially set in the water before ‘pouring’ it out.
I also don’t use vinegar - as far as I can tell you’d only do that with old out of date eggs.
As we like two poached eggs each, I have two saucepans on the go and using the cup method can have two eggs poaching at the same time in the same pan - producing the required four eggs.
I then usually burn the toast and have to start all over again.

Afternoon 'boxers. I suck at Diplomacy it would seem. Didn't even realise the others had been messaging me with secret plots to disrupt others' games. I am quite capable of disrupting my own and no doubt will be first to die.
Games: Nito is going down tonight or I am, subject to how much Hop House I consume. Oxenfree progress is slow but I'm almost back to where I was when the save crashed and burned.
Movies: Watched Sully yesterday. 4*s
TV: None
OTTM: I dumped the girlfriend. There is only so much hearing the 'reader' at spiritual church got in touch with her dead <insert relative here> and they told her <insert generic life statement here> a rational human can tolerate. The final straw was when she dragged her grieving friend along to get in touch with her dead brother who'd been murdered over Christmas. That is some seriously messed up indoctrination right there.
