I was soooo hoping that River would be the companion...  By far and away my favourite character, Silence in the Library my favourite episode (along with Forest of the Dead) and my favourite companion: Donna Noble, with my second favourite Doctor David Tennant. (Patrick Troughton is my favourite). |

Morning! Finally back in work. Played a lot of FFXIV whilst off. Still not out of the base game main quest line yet . . . Still, got 'till July to power through the rest and the two expansions. So much rich content. It feels like a normal FF, which is quite the feat given it's an MMO. Felice Landry, thanks for the Switch FF clarification the other week. I have also now pre-ordered. Need something to do on night shifts after all. TV! Watched quite a bit. Finished Kingdom, kind of like Walking Dead, but in feudal Korea. Pretty good. I'm now balls deep in The Last Kingdom, which I'm enjoying very much. Might have to give Vikings a go once done. |

Morning all.
Watched Triple Frontier last night. Not sure why that is the title - it's the story of some former US special forces going into South America to whack a head-honcho and nick his money.
Relatively good cast, including the leads from Pacific Rim and Tron Legacy, as well as Ben Afleck and Oscar Isaacs. Four stars for four stars.

More S4 of The Wire on the commute.

I haven't read it, just from what I saw Keza ranting about on Twitter Apparently, the most important thing in games is their social commentary now. Not gameplay or story any more. |

Games: not really, unless you count my life getting taken over by Dip.
I watched the Nindies Direct yesterday afternoon. As Crank mentioned, Cuphead is coming to the Switch "with help from our friends at Microsoft". Has anyone here actually played it? I will probably get it for its charming visuals and great music and then get stuck on the tutorial like that journalist.
Also: Crypt of the Necrodancer plus Zelda! I've had my eyes on CotN, because of the great title and because it was always in the e-shop charts, but now I really want this. I'm a simple woman; I see Zelda, I like. And particularly since they chose the Tal Tal Heights theme to show off the game. Link's Awakening, baby!*
