I find the idea that the physical location a game is set in means it has to involve politics a bit weird. If it was set in London would it have to include politics? What about Paris or Berlin? simple logic, observe any American movie that deals with Apocalyptic subjects and you can be pretty sure that it will be set in Europe or the UK or some out of the way place in the middle of the desert - not in the heart of the US. In fact I believe 'Xander Cage' and type/genre would be the only area of industry that they would allow it.

Its Sekiro day! I may stay up all night playing Sekiro but in reality I'll probably feel tired and go to bed at about 10. The old place would have been luminescent with Sekiro pump by this point, I think at least a few would have been lost to overpump. Different times. The last pump here was RDR2, no one came out of that well

Pretty sure Independence Day has large parts of Washington destroyed.

The Sum of All Fears also features the worst Jack Ryan. Really? Tim from The Office isn’t that great either.

It's Baltimore not Boston what gets nuked. What sort of idiot made that mistake?
Standards round here have never been lower.

Baltimore is outside Washington and not a direct attack on the US state Capitol, movie wise. maybe they weren't allowed to have Apocalyptic movies based there post 9/11 without the US winning??! Edit: noted Boston not Baltimore, still outside

No no no
It's Baltimore. Your correction has included my error.
In my defence it is 17 years since I saw The Sum Of All Fears and I didn't enjoy it much

I've wanted Boston nuked ever since I saw Good Will Hunting. oh dear! I have to break the golden rule and apologise to the blog for my shambles of a series of posts. The joy of my brain in the morning is that I tend to multi-think - LBC + blog + YouTube + Coffee pint + typo's = me in the morning. I did indeed use wiki for the info even though I have seen the film, so i should have known the answer having read it, but my morning head took precedence over rationale. No i don't apologise, no absolutely not, unforgivable to do so, such a disgrace. I'm done..

Dogma is one of my favourite films.
I hesitated about posting this.

Wanker Edit: I'm dreadfully sorry amipal. My apologies. That was aimed at Felice Landry not you. Edit 2: I'm dreadfully sorry Felice Landry. My apologies. I somehow got confused between a shit comedy film I'm not really aware of, and Lars Von Trier's artistic/cinematic manifesto. Clearly if you liked that, my comment would have been fully justified. As it is, I guess I look like a bit of a berk.

It's (Good Will Hunting that is) a terrible film. Utterly rancid and schmaltzy at the same time. Sugared shit
The only way to be safe is to nuke Boston from space.

Once, when ordering pancakes in Boston, I asked the waitress if anyone ever made 'Boston pancake' jokes. She asked what I meant, which put me in the slightly uncomfortable position of having to explain it.
Cool story etc.

Is a Boston Pancake a depraved sex person thing? Either way, I'm not googling it.
