As opposed to the sick you created this weekend. Can one create "sick"? Apart from comments on this forum en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Fulke_Greville,_1st_Baron_Brooke Oh wearisome Condition of Humanity! Born under one law, to another bound: Vainly begot and yet forbidden vanity, Created sick, commanded to be sound: What meaneth Nature by these diverse laws? Passion and reason, self-division cause. Is it the mark, or Majesty of Power To make offences that it may forgive?

Evening.
Games: Civ V. I started an new game and everything was going remarkably well. Then I realised that it was on the easiest difficulty, following an after pub drunk game on Saturday night. So I quit, that's three hours of my life I'll never gat back.
Other: I saving my Star Wars day for the between Christmas and new year lull. Avoiding spoilers is becoming increasingly difficult.

I don't think I've ever tried Buckfast. Maybe I'll stick it on the Christmas list sickly sweet fighting juice. Best avoided 100% this. Its like cough syrup that makes you fighty. Some of the irish lads I knew in Glasgow drank it with coke, as if it wasnt sickly enough. Interesting side note there Crank, I went to college in Glasgow in the late 90s with Paul McCole who is in Limmy's Show.Nice guy, he's about 5 foot nothing.

Hi,
I am genuinely surprised that no one seems to share my opinion re. Star Wars The Force Awakens is almost unbearably bad: - Kylo Ren was as annoying as Jar Jar ever was, couldn't stand him at all. - Almost Every Character was completely one dimensional. - A lot of storylines they had going on were desperately shoehorned in. - There was a lack of continuity throughout and between it and the rest of the movies. - It was very very close to a "New Hope" remake. I could go on. I'm not saying it didn't have any redeeming qualities but if they had only talked about sand a little more it could be on Clones levels.

I have not seen the last jedi but I hope they address some of these issues. Feel free to address my opinion with the standard mockery but I will not stand in silence whilst being unrepresented in such an influential* community. All the best.
*Obviously not

I'd forgotten that I'd seen The Force Awakens: A New Hope Recycled.
Apparently I thought it was okay. Though obviously not memorable...

Though to reply to your points - Kylo Ren was as annoying as Jar Jar ever was No, just no - Almost Every Character was completely one dimensional. SW not known for well rounded characters - A lot of storylines they had going on were desperately shoehorned in. Not sure what you mean here - There was a lack of continuity throughout and between it and the rest of the movies. Again continuity not a SW strength - It was very very close to a "New Hope" remake. Didn't want to scare the horses, I thought it was really good and not just in a "thank god they didn't ruin it" wayI could go on. I'm not saying it didn't have any redeeming qualities but if they had only talked about sand a little more it could be on Clones levels. Bottom line they're all just opinions

Evening all,
Not much gaming or anything else over the weekend as I was busy coughing up one of my lungs. Was due to see Star wars on Sunday but sacked it off as I didn't want to be the arsehole ruining it for everyone else by coughing like a 90 year who smokes 100 a day. Will probably catch it after Christmas now.
Buckfast - always felt it would have been a good foil for a spoof superhero ala 8- Ace in the Viz. Only he gets incredibly violent and kills some random person who luckily turns out be some monster from history.

Hmm, so Keza has been in post for a whole week, and during that time there have been no games articles in the paper, not even the usual Observer Games reviews roundup.
Does not bode well.

Will Keza we prepared to meet, the new gen of, the feeble minded 'boxers in a similar way?
