Yes, it is one of a number of films not set in Wells-next-the-sea. This number does NOT include...
The eagle has landed Revolution Shakespeare in love
All of which were filmed in parts at Wells Next The Sea, although due to 'Luvvies' are often credited to Holkham beach, despite the fact that Holkham beach is mostly mud.
Fillum factoids... I watched the parachute drops for TEHL from the beach pinewoods with my Dad and dog. We didn't know there was going to be any filming, so were amazed when about a hundred fully armed paratroopers dropped out of the sky in front of us.
I was nearly in Revolution as an extra, as the local area was canvassed for young men, preferably with long hair, to play revolutionaries. 2 things stopped my rise to Hollywood stardom... I am blind as a bat without glasses, and these weren't about at the time so I would be falling over and bumping into a lot of things with my bayonet, and I was also about to move to Plymouth. Several of my hippy mates are in the released film though, bastards. This is probably why it was a box-office disaster. I do recall there being en extraordinary amount of coke in town around that time.
Shakespeare in Love? I remain convinced it was her visit to Wells that gave Gwyneth Paltrow the urge to steam her fanny.

Ten - Good luck on that boss. I gave up after half a dozen attempts.
I also nearly got in fight in the pub with some old fella who got his knickers in a twist when I asked to re-sample an IPA I was considering buying. I went for a pint of Carling in the end.

I am regretting my decision not to drink last night. I'm regretting my decision not to drink at lunch.

I’ve been to the bookshop. I should have gone to the pub, it would have been cheaper. Circe, The Western Wind and something medium-dry about Germany. I resisted the temptation to buy a nice penguin classics edition of Hobbes and a book about the Berlin Wall and in this way I am less worse than Sheep.

The Germany book appears to have a map, on average, once every five pages. A proper Sunday afternoon after a big dinner job.

Well not technically bought since mid March. And technicalities are what matter.
Admittedly I did have two books turn up today (the final Phillip Kerr and one other) but that could happen to anyone. I've got another few on order turning up over the next year on release date as well. But they count as bought ages ago.

It was so long ago that I've moved house, started a new job and had a car written off since I last bought a book.
Kindle is content, not books, right?

What is this Germany book? some sort of very lightweight idiots guide to German history. That is, I’m the idiot and the author is the guide. If we are both idiots then I fear it will not be particularly enlightening and I think it’s fairly safe to say that I am an idiot, so I’m certainly fulfilling my half of the bargain. It was by the counter and I’m impulsive. Noted children’s author Philip Pullman seemed to like it, so I’m fairly confident it’s at my level.

I'd prefer a proper multi-volume footbreaker. I know my Kulturkampf from my Apocalypse at Munster.
Chris Clark's Iron Kingdom is pretty good on Prussia. I enjoyed Peter Wilson's Thirty Years War as well.

I know my Kulturkampf from my Apocalypse at Munster. . Those were metal festivals before Wacken was a thing, right? Like Monsters of Rock became Bloodstock?

I've been reading Thomas Pynchon before bed. Its dense, like a log. I may finish it before Tenth finishes Octoupsu Travelator

Silicon alley, some top references. I think he mentions Gameboy Advance DOOM at one point.
Which one is the incest book? Need to look into that.

Gravity’s Rainbow. There’s only a small amount of Nazi incest really.

What's worse, Gameboy Advance DOOM or Nazi incest porn?
I don't know, because I am a good clean living young man (apart from a couple of light murders).
