The last few Stephen Donaldson books were terrible. A shame as I'd liked his stuff previously. The final Thomas Covenant book was particularly poor. You know how when someone is in decline you just hope they'll pull off one last great effort, like this . Well he didn't. I gave up halfway through the second book of the third Thomas Covenant trilogy, he really ruined Linden Avery I did like the "Into the Gap" books There are four books in the third trilogy. The fourth book was terrible. All the way through the volume was turned up to 12. It made the book almost unreadable and utterly unenjoyable.

I've also read the LotR trilogy whilst at school on the advice of my Art Tutor. That had maps. To be really dull you need to point out that LotR is not a trilogy This is true, point taken.

I've got a HND in Biology, a Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, and an expired Pool Lifeguard Qualification. The latter of these is as likely as the others to appear on my CV nowadays.

CSE, is that Police labelling for Criminal-Special Excessive measures for art thief! written on your case file no doubt. edit: I had a CV once, had to see the doctor for special medicine.

I liked Stephen Donaldson when I was a nipper. I also thought Terry Pratchett was great from about book 4 to 10. Nowadays I have outgrown such childish pastimes and instead play Apex Legends while drinking too much, like a true sophisticate. The last few Stephen Donaldson books were terrible. A shame as I'd liked his stuff previously. The final Thomas Covenant book was particularly poor. You know how when someone is in decline you just hope they'll pull off one last great effort, like this . Well he didn't. Do you mean the very recent 3rd covenant series? Not read them. I did really like his science fiction Gap series.

If by very recent you mean published between 15 and 6 years ago.
I do mean that series. Don't read them. They are bad enough to make you reassess whether you really enjoyed his earlier books.

I had to go the bank so no time for the cheese sandwich I brought and instead had a sausage cob on the go. I will have the sandwich tomorrow.
Why has no one mentioned the Halo series of books? Oh.

So the PSN name change is finally available! Whats everyone going to change theirs too? At Last! It's almost worth dusting off the PS3 and finally laying to rest the ghost of ol' Doobie420
I can now get with the times, and in reflection of my new working hours, re-incarnate myself as Doobie645

Hello all.
I went into town this morning, and returned two of four pairs of trainers I ordered. Cracking morning. I also seem to have purchased some hot chocolate from Wittards, and had an udon chicken lunch at Itsu.
Internetblog: Tickets purchased for Flying Legends at Duxford in July, and also for The Darkness in December. That's my year's entertainment sorted.

Greetings. My lunch consisted of a "Vietnamese Style" chicken sandwich (granary bread, no mayo, high in protein) and a cup of coffee from the hospital cafeteria. Yes, I'm yet again stuck in a hospital waiting area, whiling away the time by playing Zelda Twilight Princess Picross.
Having read the bee story right after waking up I spent the morning in the Worry Tent until Shenguin came along.
I have never watched GoT but I own the first three books in paperback. I haven't read them. They were given to me at Christmas by family members because apparently I'm known to "like that kind of thing". But if I've got a choice between reading GoT on the one hand and LotR or the Narnia books on the other it's always the latter that win. Maybe one day.
