It's your right to be forgotten. Hang on, that's not right. Damn you GDPR. Sounds a frustrating shambles. Bit like my dip style. And quite frankly my face. The ambulance arrived too early at 9.45 am, in order to maximize my pain and discomfort... arrived 75 minutes before - one of them breaking one of my ingrown toenails; the usual agony of treatment ensues on arrival ... 12.40pm I, the receptionist try to check the ETA line... "You are 24th in the queue... shit music ..2nd in the *phst nnnnaaaahhhh* " After 40 minutes. Nurses try on the professional line "You are 8th in the queue... " They get through and it is now booked AND confirmed, but not yet allocated. A painful hour and a half later my morphine has worn off. 2.50 pm... I, the receptionist try to check the ETA line... "You are 21st in the queue... shit music ..." at 3.10 pm a nurse who knows a way into the transport system ... apparently I am not, scheduled or allocated - she very kindly sticks priority flags on and allocates and confirms I am waiting. she waits 2 minutes logs back in and a crew has been scheduled to collect me at 5.30pm = 5.30- 7.30pm. I vary between grimacing and trying not to actually cry. All my pain relief has gone ... She takes one glance at me; double flags it and emails the transport manager ... "It should be here about 4, but probably closer to 5pm." She is an angel and I tell her if I thought it would be pleasurable for her, I'd kiss her. She's done all of that on her own time.. she was on her way home when she stopped to help. I get through the door here at 5.10 pm - 4 hrs of exacerbated agony after I should have been ... I hurt |
