Moggie's views on social history, are on a par with Trump's respect for democracy and truth; like von Daniken, L Ron Hubbard, but with regrettably greater success, they gloss over inconvenient facts, cherry pick those that loosely support their warped narrative. What is doubly concerning to me is firstly that their willing distortion of the truth is undertaken in pursuit of political goals that have very real and dangerous consequences for all of us. Secondly, their success in peddling their lies and half truths reveals a credulity and gullibility on the part of the voting public whose capacity to believe and promulgate these demagogues' fictional constructs on dismays me. Let me be clear - I have as little respect for the ideological shibboleths of the puerile economic nonsense of the card-carrying members of Momentum, sorry, the Labour Party, whose essentially anti democratic shackling of MPs to a an agenda based on entirely discredited economic theories of nationalization terrify me, as they should terrify you... No, the threat posed by these demagogues is that it continues to accelerates a debasement of political discussion and thinking whereby the public are being 'educated' into accepting the views of these creatures as some kind of truth which they never criticise or examine. For most it is a shorthand that absolves the electors of any responsibility for thinking. Part of this is due to inadequate liberal education; but predominately it is due to the willingness of politicians of all persuasions to subsume any moral conscience in their pursuit of power and to encourage such ignorance. Back from voting. This went very well once I pointed out to Preferred Mammal that our new polling station is next to a pub. Spent a pleasant afternoon in the pub garden. Democracy makes thirsty.
Realised that a family member was one of the candidates, voted for a different party.

Apparently John Terry is being touted at odds of 5 to 1 to be the next Boro manager.
If he's even on Steve Gibson's radar I'll fucking furious

I'm getting GAME ads on this forum. Final Fantasy X... uh-huh... Hollow Knight... okay... Sniper Elite V... mmmhh... Borderlands 3... Fire Emblem Three Houses... Leisure Suit Larry... hang on... Leisure Suit Larry??!! Why???!!
Is this like UKIP leaflets? Do I turn from Dr Tent Hen into Ms Tent Hyde, who's got a terribly dark browser history?

And you probably thought things couldn't get any worse. To give you a glimmer of hope, if you can ignore the fact that the foul full kit wanker is your team's manager, you'll probably end up with a load of good Chelsea youth/loan players and play decent fitba. Maybe even go up.

Anyone else partaking in BDT?
I'm on my second cool crisp refreshing Belgium lager. And am about to head out for some lovely ales and then on to a yet to be decided restaurant, for food and red wine. Possibly Thai food, possibly Indian food, possibly something else.
What I'm saying is, that I have decided to ignore the forthcoming apocalypse and go out and get shit faced.
YEAH! FUCK YOU LIZARD PEOPLE!

Bdt while staying up for the election results? I mean three days of solid drinking before the result might make it a bit less crippling if farage wins than the Brexit result.

It's a bit late to start drinking now. I've been drinking since 1993 in anticipation of these election results. I wish I'd started sooner. Not too late for some final cramming I guess.
