Watching Chernobyl. Grim as fuck. Not that I was expecting big laughs. Just finished the 'Midnight in Chernobyl' audiobook on the commutes. Would recommend. in similar vein I've moved onto 'A time to die' which tells the story of the sinking of nukular sub Kursk, and the doomed escape attempts.... something about Cold War soviet disasters does make for gripping reading.

Ennui is a good word, I shall use it more in day to day life I felt the lackadaisical attitude of and sense of boredom with Arsenal began when Thierry Ennui played for them.

Ennui is a good word, I shall use it more in day to day life An editor once 'discouraged' (in the way that editors do) me from describing a Mesopotamian god as suffering from ennui because he thought that second year Classics students might be unfamiliar with that word. Boooooring

I am guessing Enlil.
Though even Baal sometimes found all those blood sacrifices got him down.

I'm making my way through a series which I half expected to dislike - unlikely premise, American kids transported to magical universe... I bought them because I used to play Dungeons and Dragons - it starts off with us being introduced a disparate foul-mouthed unpleasant bunch and... it's funny! I've just finished the second book... You can get the MP3s here for £5.50 for a dozen or so... P&P = £1.20

I am guessing Enlil. Though even Baal sometimes found all those blood sacrifices got him down. No, it was Erra, god of war and pestilence. Characteristically he started a little war whenever he needed to cheer himself up. Retail therapy just never quite worked for him the same way. I hear he's often invited to John Bolton's dinner parties these days.
