Apart from cauliflower, what goes in the cauliflower steak? Aiming to eat more veggies in the NY Just a chimichurri (alternative spelling suggestions: configure/childbirth/configured) marinade (lemon juice, oil, parsley, oregano, lemon, red pepper flakes, garlic, salt, pepper), then roasted. The concept is new to me, I suppose one can flavour it with whatever is at hand (bottle of Nando's, anyone?). I'm doing bulgur ( vulture/vultures/bulge) and chickpea tagine with it and wait for the inevitable Michelin star.

The cauliflower steaks make a fine accompaniment to actual steaks, or better still, serve them on their own as a vegetarian alternative to steak.
I understand the words in bold/italics, but still don't get it....

This brings us back to the crushing disappointment of mince pies.
I suppose "cauliflower steak" sounds better than "cauliflower slab" or "chunk"?
Edit: Also, that way it can go on the menu as "steak surprise"

Yes, we can all agree that mince pies and cauliflower are abominations

Chuck the cauliflower steak in the bin, have a nice steak instead.

Chuck the cauliflower steak in the bin, have a nice steak instead. I'd agree with that if it wasn't necessary from time to time to cater for the vegetarian crowd. Anyway, for myself I've successfully hunted a wild haggis (the vegetarian one got away, but we don't like it so much anyway).

Haggis is great, but will have to wait until Burns Night. Maybe served in Pierogi. (My wife is half-Scottish, half-Polish)

Fusion cooking is best cooking. I'd be interested to see what you can cook at 100 million Kelvin.

First place I saw haggis pakora was Danny Singh's in Shawlands. Not saying it was the first but certainly before 2013.

My 50th is closer unfortunately. *Sob* A wee bit blowy here this morning. Meant to go away at lunchtime.
Star Wars last night. Most enjoyable. Didn't think there was too much comedy as I'd read.

I like the half track, is this for a Mad Max thing? Yarp, for a game called Gaslands which is a Dystopian alternate present. Yeah I know, things are pretty dystopian as it stands.

Cauliflower steaks are quite nice if they're done well. But they are terribly named.

I went to the international Liverpool horse show last night. In between the show jumping etc, they had stunt motorbikes and music by Rick Parfitt Junior. Rick's bass player looked like a young Francis Rossi - a grotesque update on the S Club Juniors format. A highly Freudian 4 stars.

In a couple of months I will be working from home one day a week, which obviously opens up plenty of opportunity for gaming. I am considering finally entering the realm of online FPS and the battle royale type games, so would be interested to know people's opinions on Fortnite and PUBG.
