My second job today instead of failing cocaine delivery is gritting the in-laws drive. If that was added to GTA I would definitely stop playing it.
(I say that. I'm so sad I probably wouldn't.)

Morning all. Last weekend of the year, and stuck indoors due to inclement weather. Textbook.
Watched the Alan Partridge documentary last night, it was rather good. As was the one-off episode of Vic & Bob's Big Night Out.

GT:S can't seem to convert poles to wins, mainly because it doesn't seem to matter what safety rating you are driving at, there is always at least one animal that drives you flat into a wall instead of giving you space to race, or whacks you off the track at turn 1, getting themselves a time penalty that is less than the time I've lost smashing across the gravel. It's very frustrating.
It's making me hate gaming.
And as for Wardor, it better pick up soon because its just Assassin's Creed: Middle Earth right now.
It is also making me hate gaming.
And as for you people and this place...well you know the deal.

That's what I like to see, Melvazord failing to realise that the reason he hates x isnt x itself, but his own personality.

I just assumed GT:sport would be full of folk who'd come from racing in GTA or the Crew etc and wouldn't care about driving properly. Pity I'm right. Is project cars any better for it do we know?

This is why the only racing game I play is Mario Kart. That at least doesn't make you hate gaming, it makes you hate your friends and family for lobbing a blue shell at you. Racing games without banana peels? What's even the point?

That's what I like to see, Melvazord failing to realise that the reason he hates x isnt x itself, but his own personality. Oh I hate everything, except you. But especially you. @crank. The problem is the penalty system. Once you get to safety rating in the high B range then you've got people that want to race properly. Once you get to A then its 99% people who race properly. However the penalty system is harsh as fuck, and while it can take many races to go up a rating, one bad race can knock you back down. One slip of the wheel, or someone else braking unexpectedly and youre down a level, a level where they're are twats, who smash into you and can cause your rating to drop through no fault of your own. I've seen some people say they're stuck in a vicious circle of being knocked down safety levels and being stuck there because its almost impossible to get a clean race under your belt. It IS a good game online. Offline the AI is standard racing game pish. When you get a good race where your opponents were fair, you raced close and any accidents really were just that its great, but that feels to me about 1 in every 3 races at best.

Just leafing through my new Karcher power-washer's manual. What are you up to?

I lived the Karcher dream too, but it was all too brief. Broke it second time out. Just been for my 5th run of the month after a year injured. What used to count as a warm up jog now induces a near death state. Thinking of just writing the whole thing off and ordering a gaming chair and a lifetime supply of Wotsits.

Now you're cleaning with power!
Just come back from a shopping trip. I've got all the party nibbles and all the booze for Hogmanay (my phone's spelling suggestions for this are Johanna, Hoffman and Normandy). I'm also planning to declare the Haggis season open on New Year's Day, plus a cauliflower steak for the local veggies. Unlike elsewhere it's relatively mild and any ice is gone, so we no longer have to skate to the shops. 4 *s.

Hi.
I'm cooking a chicken and sweetcorn pie*, with mash and peas.
*not technically a pie since I cooked the puff pastry** top separately.
**I'm using the leftover pastry to make cheesy straws.
Games? Nah, mate...

Aiming to eat more veggies in the NY
