Up at the crack of dawn this morning, then fell back asleep, had a very very odd dream, woke up 45 minutes later and had to run out the door without breakfast. I still made the train though.

Dragon quest. Its really quite good. Top five. Of what, I couldn't say.

Games
I completed up to the end of Level 7 in Doom 2. Although I have played Doom2 before it was a long time ago and there are very few bits I remember once I was past the first level.
I finished Doom on Sunday. I am not sure why the cyberdemon is so much tougher than the spiderdemon who is the final boss of two parts of the game.
At this rate I should have all games bought by 1995 completed by mid 2022 (excluding some Spectrum games of course)

Can't publicly reveal/doesn't know* how many children he has.
* I am going for can't reveal as in if he declares 6 there will be 1 or 2 women who will raise their hands and ask 'what about this child?'.
And if he declares more than the acknowledged 6 there will be questions about why he has kept children hidden

Hello, tenthenemy I've not got stuck anywhere in Links Awakening yet. I read a review somewhere, possibly the one at the other place, about situations like that occuring. Dungeon doors closing and not having the items needed to open them etc. If I remember correctly that could also happen in the old game. The heart piece in Pothole Field is a new problem that very obviously shouldn't have passed testing. I'm still not much further, have not been to the Colour Dungeon yet and was basically just collecting seashells and such things. I did, however, already get the key to the sixth dungeon (having only completed three) because I was in the area and it was a nice day for it. I also showed Animal Village to the Preferred Mammal and we got into an argument about whether or not the hammock with four pillows for the bunnies constitutes comfortable bedding for bunnies or not (he claims that a hammock would not be regarded as an adequate sleeping place by any self-respecting bunny. I don't know, it's not my specialist subject). I was delighted to see that the " Zee art, it'z difficult for you to grasp, iz it not?" painting still bears no resemblance to the hippo modelling for it. But I'm a bit disappointed that for both the hippo and the mermaid they went with the sanitised Western version and that the mermaid doesn't call Link a little pervert. |

There was a story in the Metro this morning about how Glaswegians ate the unhealthiest UK lunches whilst their counterparts in Edinburgh ate the healthiest. It is also mentioned that 1 in 10 people eat the same lunch every day.
I will soon tuck into a cheese and tomato sandwich.

Surely nuking the Arc De Triomphe counts as a legal declaration of war? Just send Johnson there, I'm sure they will respond in kind! Life matters: I have high cholesterol, I'm now on statins. Netflix/Prime: Dark matters - turned into aces, 4* - apart from the fact that they cancelled it even though rotten tommies gave S2 & S3 a 100% rating (silly SyFy channel)! that's all, I'm indoors dry, outside isn't, I might watch amipals YT channel to pass the time before a binge on all of the Planet of the Apes films. |

The rain is indeed miserable.
My general malaise is compounded by the news of Jessye "Hurricane" Norman's death, one of my favourite singers. As a young teenager she got me to sit through Bayreuth productions of the Ring, broadcast on German television.
Here's a clip of her opening her mouth and blowing everyone's socks off
