It comes as a bit of a shock, but don't worry, you'll get used to it. It happened to me before. I am starting to think you have terrible judgment. What took you so long?

Not just leftover cabbage. I also had chicken, potatoes, mushrooms and broccoli. I cooked a large amount of red cabbage in red wine and red wine vinegar for hours.
It's deliciously rich and sharp and gets better over a couple of days.

I watched Swamp Thing, it's terrible so far and played 3 games of Apex where I killed 3 players in total and failed to get anywhere near winning as my team mates were either terrible players or terrible team mates.

Tonight's dinner was nice. It looks like your eggs are smoking a cigar, even the 'lips' look puckered.

So fucking depressing.

Tonight's dinner was nice. bacon – ten on ten, minor criticism, more distance between the eggs and the beans. I may want to mix them, but I want that to be my decision. Use a sausage as a breakwater. But I’m nit-picking, on the whole a very good effort, seven on ten, let’s make love.

Looking back at the post-referendum comments HERE it's incredible how sane and sensible most Chatterboxers came across in view of the impending Brexit shitstorm. Even Socky. Incredible scenes.

What about this exchange between 😏🦕🌿 the Seer and davidargile: discussion.theguardian.com/comment-permalink/77074202 Now we are living and breathing it and thinking about how bad this will look in the history books. I remember lurking in that box after sitting up all night in bed following the Guardian live coverage on my phone. A credible contender for the title of worst nights of my life.

I'm sober now. While I was drunk i had this horrible dream everyone voted to fuck things up. Obviously that is ridiculous. It seemed real at the time though.
That was not the complete truth. I had stayed up til 4 watching the referendum results while drinking. A group of us organised by LQL went to the cricket. 1 day game England v Sri Lanka. England won by 10 wickets. I was in the pub drinking off the edge of the result by 11. By 5.30 pm I was pretty slaughtered. It was a tough day's boozing. Never try to keep up with WeeCooper. Even for a six foot eight Scottish former squaddie he is quite the power drinker when he wants to be.

That even drew a comment from Wardinator. Wardinator v The Gasman was a highlight of the old box.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in nostalgia and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

I’m not sure which is more upsetting, that I’ve been on the chatterbox since at least 2016, or that I was right about something.

Well, that's one book I'm not going to buy. Although by then we are probably too busy frolicking in the sunlit uplands to care.
