Morning all! I’m in the land of the rising and hopefully at some point setting sun! After over 24 hours awake I got off the plane, got to the hotel and slept for 16 hours, so I’ve already got my jet legs.
I seem to have given myself a nasty cough by setting the air conditioning to Arctic though.
Watched the Star Wars again en plane, and also x files season 9. From watching it I couldn’t tell if that x files season was made recently or some time in the 90s. Utter bollocks, 4 stars.
Massive toblerone on the plane - classic Jagger. Unfortunately I don’t have the moves like mick so I didn’t try it.

It looks like Death Stranding has a lot of reviews that say it's nuts, boring, repetitive and not fun to play, but then rationalise those things as features of Kojima's auteur vision, thereby enabling the magic 4 stars. @dakylosaurus419 Have you researched the wiggling scene in the East? I am worried that wiggling on a Wednesday might be considered culturally offensive to the Japanese and you'll spend the rest of your visit in a pit getting raw fish chucked on you like Richard Chamberlain in Shogun.* * that racist enough for you Shenguin ? |

No games, Belgian beer (it’s OK, I drank it ironically), booked another skiing holiday to France for straight after the election so I can go and watch the collapse of the EUSSR first hand. Though this is emphatically not climate woke, at least I can take some comfort in the fact that the Thungberger will hunt down and kill Danky first.
There’s a Hayek pun out there somewhere but my brain can’t find it.

OTTM: I may get a gaming window tonight as Mrs Fark is out with her friends, she has questionable stamina in her pregnant state though. I have downloaded the Forsaken DLC for Destiny 2 in the Steam sale just in case.

Eight hours in, I hadn’t shot a single person. The challenge comes from the surprisingly engaging cargo management, where you trade weight against balance, speed against stamina, and weigh up risky shortcuts over treacherous terrain.
Death Stranding seems like an absolute riot.

Why not get a Christmas job working for the post office or TNT or DPD or someone?
I'm sure it's as exciting as the game with the added bonus of getting paid rather than paying for it

I started my day with a YouTube review of Death Stranding whilst my Amazon driver who's just passed Bromsgrove and who will be delivering his cargo to lighten my task of entertaining a gaggle of small children is apparently already playing the game! Kudos! Must ask him when he got the van upgrade.
Went on Metacritic and, like everyone else, clicked on the single negative review. Yeah, don't bother, the website's crashed and they are getting hate on Twitter.

Morning all!
Gamesblog - a few Amiga games at lunch. I gave Microprose Special Forces a try, but my god, the process to actually play the game is incredibly laborious. I gave up.
Battle Squadron and Battle Command were my highlights. Afterburner was a lowlight (it's a terrible port - much like your face).
Filmblog - partner was in town seeing Margaret Atwood at the Dome, so I watched The Bounty. Very, very good film, with an amazing cast.
I'd love to see another cut of it though, where they replace the Vangelis soundtrack with something more fitting - a bit too Blade Runner for a film set in the late 1700s.
Oh, and redub all the Lootenants to Lieutenants (that's a pet-peeve) - they're British sailors, not American.
