Quiet in here today.
Dear Blog hive mind, my not very old Moto G7 isn't charging. The battery is not removable. I've tried different leads, different sockets, turning it off and on again several times, and cleaning the USB-C port. I've tried to do a hard / factory reset, but it won't let me, I think as the battery is too low and it thinks I should have more battery before I mess with it's internals. If you have any helpful suggestions, please don't send them to me via WhatsApp or SMS text.

No, it's just the way I'm standing. If I could stand that way, I'd make a fortune.

It probably won't do anything but at least it'll stop you fiddling with your damn phone.

There's some bleeding obvious and probably not very helpful advice in the video below:

I had a similar problem with the kindle fire. It kept not charging even when wiggled.
I changed the cable in the power lead and while the kindle no longer says it is charging it does charge a bit slower than it used to.

Hello. I’m slacking off in an online meeting.
Partly because of this, partly because I’m a terrible person and partly because I have a record which features “Mad” Frankie Fraser on vocals I did rather well on that quiz.
It’s like golf, we’re going for low scores, right?
Ethically I’m rock solid. Morally, less so.

Let's imagine your partner has been missing for a two days and there were signs of a violent struggle before they went missing, and the police are round at your place saying things like "But you know their password, please can you let us check their email and social media as it might contain vital clues to their whereabouts and could save their life, and it will take a further 96 hours to get the court order prepared and the information released by the tech companies", and you are like "But what about that BBC Morality quiz I took, I said it was never acceptable to log into your partner's social-media account or email without their say-so!" What I'm saying is, the quiz is crap. 4/10 and I can utterly morally justify every answer, albeit with some fairly unlikely scenarios.

I wonder how Melvazord's work night out went. Either he's in a police cell or he's been promoted to junior vice president. Or possibly both.

I have issues with that quiz, as far as I can tell your morality ‘score’ is just how often you chose the most popular answer amongst the general public. I don’t think that’s what morals mean.

Thank you for your suggestions. I've tried them all, apart from getting a new phone. I've emailed John Lewis instead.
