On the way to work, got a lot on so I’m sure the day will fly by. Leg still really hurts.

Morning Fuckwits.
I hope you all had a good Christmas*. Mine was spent over indulging and watching TV. The best kind.
Ganes! Bit of WoW and another bash at Raft, seeing as they've recently released a big update. All good.
TV! Started and finished The Witcher (finally). Very, very good. 4 *s.
* Go on then, even you.

Morning all.
Gamesblog - I play games now. Or should I say game? Game. I play game now. Dragon Quest Builders 2 (DQB2)!! I've visited a tower and have a knight-type lady in my party now. I also visited a sandy cave, and now also have a worm in my team. I think we're all best of friends. As a result of this, I now have three fields ready for seeds. Everything's coming up amipal!
OTTM - distrusted night's sleep continues. I also have a blocked ear. And so my head feels like I've been kicked in the noggin by a donkey, just without the hoof-mark or pain. 4*

Games; back to GTA or rdr2 to see what the updates have been, 26 gig so no games in the end. No work till Thursday which seems too soon after almost 3 weeks off.

Have you attempted to see a doc about your leg? You should.
I also want to try the GTA new heist stuff but I'm frightened to. I've managed to beat my addiction. I'd end up playing nothing else.

I will try and get an appointment when I work from home on Thursday. I'm certain it's Sciatica though, it is only really a problem when I try to sleep, when my back is straight I'm largely pain free.

Hello. I’m in the office, it’s pleasantly quiet and a safe distance from cheese and booze.
Matters of note appropriate for the chat include the fact that someone has managed to park a van in the river this morning, I have acquired and I am enjoying a game called Modern Warfare, of which some of you may have heard, and the passing observation that I am now amazingly fat.

Babyfark, can you describe the pain in your leg more specifically? Where is it more precisely? Do you suspect a cause? Is it constant? Any burning sensation? Any tingling or numbness? Any swelling or redness? Any joint stiffness? Better than amipal, with the ear, head, sleep and donkey things, it sounds like he has some sort of broad spectrum immune-related or systemic collapse. My medical advice would be to make sure Mrs Amipal has his passwords and has a complete list of bank accounts, investments, etc, and that his will is up to date.

The pain is consigned to my right leg, sometimes as high as the buttock but mostly it's around the ankle and calf. When I lay down the pain builds particularly in my ankle and at all times of day putting on my right sock brings awful pain.
I had a bad back previously but the pain there has mostly subsided. It's a burning pain, no stiffness or swelling or tingling or numbness. I had a blot clot in that leg before but this feels very different to that (in other words no where near as painful).
I'm doing the stretching exercises on the NHS Sciatica page and moaning a lot in terms of current attempts to heal.

After those years of martial artistry, he should know a thing or possibly two things about stuff like this. p.s. Are you sure your sock isn't a Daemon?

Good Monday, I am back at work. The coffee shop over the road is closed until the new year, so I'm having to drink instant. This is quite literally the worst thing that has ever happened to anyone.
Ganes: Outer Wilds. Is pretty good. Very relaxing. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, but that's ok. At one point I flew to the furthest edge of the solar system and just watched the sun for about 10 minutes until it imploded.
Bookblog: finished The Wall by John Lanchester. I very much enjoyed it. Bleak and dystopian, much like my face.

sockpuppetpseudonym 614 26 Nov 2019 at 13:25 He lives yet! I'm going out for a drink in Liverpool tonight. Any advice? Also, Friday question, why are pundits and fans of thepremierleague so exercised about VAR? They say it's because it's 'unclear' and 'killing football'. The underlying reason seems to be that they consider being only just offside should not count as offside.

The underlying reason seems to be that they consider being only just offside should not count as offside. I have just been discussing this with my work pal Miserable John, who is a supporter of the East London WestHammers. According to him the reason people hate it is because they see it for what it really is: a conspiracy by the Sky Premier league to hand the title to Liverpool.

I've not lived in Liverpool since 1997. So probably best not.
Some folk have said cbd oil has helped with sciatica. Worth a punt if they say that's what it is.
We're at a soft play. Marvellous. TBF it's quite large and the screeching tends to disappear into the roof space.
I bought a copy of Office365 off eBay last night for £2.95 so we'll see how long that lasts. It's kosher as you download from the office website - but ever so grey area. I'll probably not be using the 1TB OneDrive as I dunno if the "admin" can view/access it.

I have erosion of the sciatic nerve by the sciatic bone (degenerative) so I sympathize with your predicament. I also have long term damage to both of my ankle joints and a weakening of the muscles and tendons/ligaments in that area, the pain sounds dissimilar to what I have daily so you need to look at the possibility of any damage to your tendons and ligaments and the ankle joint itself, typically severe strains from sprains and twists or bad cramp can effect the joint over long term weakening the area, also as you say blood flow in that area can be an issue. Warmth helps to ease it but a good GP will most likely recommend a pain relief spray or cream - and of course exercise.
