I know almost nothing about laurence Fox, but he sounds like a bit of a bellend to me. Having had a cursory look at his twitter posts, I concur. Although he livened up QT last night night. |

Laurence Fox is one of those pricks who comes from a wealthy and privileged background but doesn't realise it because he went to Harrow with proper toffs who claim to be able to trace their family lineages back to the Ice Age, and who probably bullied him for being a commoner. He belongs to that class of needy arseholes who are not so rich that they don't have to get actual jobs, but are well connected enough to get fastracked to top gigs in the media or the Conservative party, and end up editing Newsnight, winning BAFTAs or fucking over the country as PM just to impress the even bigger arseholes who used to steal their caviar money at school. At least that's my prejudice and I'm sticking to it. Pro-tip: never watch Question Time.

Video games! I've got that Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE #TotesOMG coming today. It was fun on the Wii 2, if a bit of a grind and embarrassing to play infront of the preferred mammal. But its SMT so it has to be done.
Also just remembered last night that Brexit is still happening in about two weeks? Is that right? Everyone seemed to have forgotten about it until this morning. You'd think there'd be more of a sense of urgency, or a desire to know what the fuck is actually going to happen, because I have absolutely no idea what is going on at the moment.

Morning all! Gamesblog - a fair bit of time with DQB2. I'd returned to the Island of Awakening, and was halfway through building a MASSIVE PYRAMID when the Children of Hargon drove me from the island. So now I'm in some blasted prison island. Building has taken a backseat to main-quest-story. I'm not saying whether or not you'll be able to ever escape that blasted prison island, so no spoilers. But if it looks as if you might be able to escape - no guarantees - it is worth pausing for a moment and think about what you might be able to pilfer, because it's the island of no return. |

Did that not used to go for next to nothing on the Wii 2's eshop? I didn't really understand what it was so never bothered picking it up? Am I the only one that struggles to pay full price for a game when it's been cheap elsewhere? Currently, I quite fancy playing Ni No Kuni again but can't fathom paying ten times what I paid for it on PS3 just to play it again on the Switch. |

I'm not buying it again just to add it to my Switch backlog. I don't want to bring the mood down talking about the dreaded Brexit date but I still have to apply to be able to continue living in my home. I was hoping that the scheme would be changed to making a declaration as MEPs have suggested, but there's no political capital in that, so I fear it won't happen. The problem will be that for the last years I haven't worked and been self sufficient, which most likely will mean that I'll have to dig out all sorts of paperwork that I might not possess to somehow prove that I've been living at the same address for the last five years as I have for the 15 years before that, because it would be wrong to make assumptions, wouldn't it? One thing that struck me is the difference in what the Home Office regards as evidence of residency (e.g. they are keen on council tax bills, which are not in my name) as opposed to the German authorities. For the latter my German passport, issued ten years ago at the German embassy in London, up for renewal this year, that has Birmingham as my city of residence in it, is indisputable proof that I've lived there for at least ten years. As far as the Home Office is concerned, it's irrelevant. Currently I'm dealing with all sorts of alarms and excursions at home, but I cannot put this off much longer and it's making me sick with worry. Of course I will be fine - or at least avoid getting deported, which apparently qualifies as "being fine", but it doesn't mean that I'm not seething with resentment. Sorry about the seething. |

I just went to that there Game shop on the high street. There were real humans in there and I had to speak to one of them. I was just browsing to kill some time. But realised I was lagging behind some of the big hitters on here when it comes to MASSIVE back logs. I therefore gave the human I had to speak to a £20 note in exchange for four PS4 games.
