It's Friday, so I just watched episode 2 of Picard. It does not disappoint, which is about the highest praise I've ever given anything. I mean, it would probably be even better if they gave Trevor Francis a part in it, but other than that, it's the dog's bollocks.

It's Friday, so I just watched the rushes from my latest porno extravaganza. It does not disappoint, which is about the highest praise I've ever given anything. I mean, it would probably be even better if they gave Trevor Francis a part in it, but other than that, it's the dog's bollocks. I reckon Timothy Mallet would be reasonable in a porno, and cheap too. Did you think about the budget Shenguin ? No, no you did not. It's all 'Trev' this and 'Trev' that with you.

Morning all.
How the devil are we all today?
Gamesblog - a bit more DQB2, and they've had me build even more defences. To be far, it is now multilayered, which can only be a good thing. Luckily my additions did not affect the changes required to the design.
TVblog - TNG, and Worf breaks his back.

Amazing scenes at the office today as I was asked to sanitise my hands upon entering the building and also upon entering various offices. Signs up everywhere to "sanitise".

Regarding sanitising can you not put people in an autoclave to make sure they are sterile? If not might I recommend exposing hands etc to UV light which is also a good sanitising method.
If you want less collateral damage maybe 70% ethanol depending on what you are trying to kill.

www.bbc.com/news/health-51325192At this point in the disaster movie the science nerds are still telling the politicians they have things under control. But then someone doesn't do their job right, corners are cut, a hand isn't washed...

Your face is still absolutely amazing 4* My face is pissed off, very pissed off. If it were a book it would be 'Blood and Guts on the Russian Front', by Sven Hassel, which doesn't even exist. That's how pissed off my face is.

Morning.
Yesterday started badly by driving to the hospital in Redditch without breakfast and didn't get much better after that. Prior to yesterday I had been present when life support was switched off, but this was the first time I witnessed someone actually taking their last breath. Probably all in all a good way to go, just going unconscious and stopping to breathe after a while.
We managed to lay down a decent challenge for the "multifaith" chaplain: in a town where roughly 0.2% of the population are Hindus he had to find the nearest NHS Hindu priest (we wanted to make sure that we didn't get some kind of freelancer who had only just completed his Teach Yourself Sanskrit course). The Birmingham one had gone to India, presumably to refresh his supply of Ganges water, an essential in that line of work. In the end the Pandit had to drive all the way from Cannock and arrived late in the evening (quote from the chaplain: "The Hindu chap is on his way now"). He turned out to be a very jolly chap with (to my untrained ear) impeccable Sanskrit. All the stars, hope he got home safely.
One of the student nurses was incredibly resourceful in helping to fulfil spiritual needs, by printing out pictures of Hindu deities (black & white, "you wouldn't believe how difficult it is finding colour cartridges in a hospital", double sided, saving the planet one Deva at a time) and installing "Candle app" on her mobile phone after the search for a battery operated candle failed. She told us she got an "A" in RE as well, this is how school prepares you for your job.
So it's over, all there is to do is one more trip to that place to satisfy the bureaucracy. I had no idea that a death needs to be registered where that person died, not where they lived, although that obviously makes sense. It's a bad thing to say although it's true, but my life will be a lot easier now.*
*Probably famous last words.

Morning chumps.
Last night I eventually finished Uncharted 1. Four stars.
Then I shoved on Apex Legends on the PS4. I got two kills in the one game! Can give up now.
Hoovering you say? Spose I better.
{Edit}Sorry to hear that tenthen. Glad it was peaceful. I'm not a total unfeeling wanker - I was typing as you were posting.

Tenth Enemy
Sorry for your loss. I'd guess it wasn't entirely unexpected.
There is an online booking service for registering a death in Worcestershire. It's pretty easy to use and you can sort out telling most official people about it at the same time. You still have to see the actual registrar, but that is straightforward. I had to use it last year when my aunt died, My mum did the actual register office bit for that aunt. You need lots of copies of the Death certificate as all the banks, utilities, pension companies etc want one. They do return the, but it takes ages to get them back.
Also I hope there is a will. My aunt died intestate (she was unable to make a will) without any direct descendants. So far the solicitor has traced in excess of 70 blood relatives who all stand to inherit a small amount. It's horrific. Fortunately I have nothing to do with it.

Many Condolences tenthenemy. I, and others I've spoken to, have had the same feeling of "relief"* and it is perfectly natural and you shouldn't feel bad about it. *i.e. Life will be a little less stressful etc.

Condolences Tenthen, am not good with words when it comes to sympathy / empathy so will echo what my betters have already said. OTTM: nothing really. Guinness tonight to contemplate the futility of it all.
