amipal Thanks for that. In an effort to resolve your problem I logged in on my phone and switched to Desktop version only to find I couldn't switch back because I couldn't find the 'button at the bottom of the page'. It took me 10 minutes to solve it. <edit> The button was 'hidden' in the Standard Forum Layout I use on my laptop. I had to go into Profile/Edit Profile/Settings/Forum Layout and change it to Chatterbox and save the changes. This made the Mobile button visible on my phone. I then had to switch it back to Standard Forum Layout on my laptop.

I have completed Act 2 of Pillars of Eternity. I think I still like it. I had the opportunity to sacrifice one of my party, but I chose not to.
I am dispensing justice so far as I can. I did accidentally incur the wrath of one group by slaughtering all of them, but that was mostly their fault.
Raedric is no longer unhappy with me, since I dispensed justice to him.
I am not certain my attempts to roughly put things right are helping in any way.

The Age Of Surveillance Capitalism
I sort of recommend this. It is far too long and uses too many big words. It is undoubtedly an intellectual book. At 530 pages plus appendices, glossary and index this is pretty hefty.
Also the text is weird. I realised the typeface is ok, but the lines are too close together. An extra point of space between each line would make the act of reading far easier.
Also if you do read it you won't like it. Which is sort of the point. It will make you pretty paranoid about Facebook and Google and to a lesser extent Microsoft.
There is a pretty good 250 page book about Google and Facebook hidden in it There is also an extremely dull 750 page book in there.
Four Stars.
Permanent Record Ed Snowden
Another paranoid book. This is a pretty readable one though. I'm not sure he is that nice a person, but I'm not sure how you could stick to your ideals in the way he has without a certain inner steel.

Bone Silence Al Reynolds
Some decent sci-fi trash. I really enjoyed this.
