Monday eh.
Bit more grinding in modern warfare re-rub. I'm a bit annoyed you can't have red dot and suppressor fitted. Could you in bops? Is it always like that in cod?
Watched the men's halfpipe final which of course led to shoving on a snowboarding game.
My subtitle file for Gomorra is wrong so I've had to stop watching till I can sort it. Most upsetting commute.
Is Bioshock good? The full bhoona edition is £15 on PS4. Watched 5 mins of a stream and looked interesting. One for the backlog perhaps.

I have to agree with babyfark about Bioshock. It had all the ingredients, I just couldn't get into it.
One of the first times I posted on the chatterbox was a top 5 overrated games. Most of the replies got FRANKed before I saw them, but I think someone called me a fucking moron

Your wrong, and you're a grotesquely ugly freak. One needs to become immersed in the world of Bioshock to truly appreciate it. Don't just run around trying to complete it as fast as possible; listen to all the audio recordings, appreciate the art-deco designs, live in the world. I played the first game with my feet in a bowl of cold water. |

I 'completed' Mario Odyssey at the weekend, it was a bit of a letdown ultimately, it definitely has potential but it felt like it finished too early without introducing very many interesting possession mechanics. Also smashed the Shagaru Magala in MHXX at the weekend, which took some doing. Dipped into MHW for one last time and got utterly wrecked by Nergigante. I went back to Anjanath for an easier ride and got to see its angry flame shooting mode that I killed it too fast to see last time. Tremendous scenes.

I have to agree with babyfark about Bioshock. It had all the ingredients, I just couldn't get into it. My ex was into all its art style and story so I was made to play through the whole thing. There's a good twist in the story, near the end, that probably helps elevate it a bit in most people's estimations but it's my cup of tea. Boo-urns: Setting, story, style Boo: FPS game **** |

Yep, managed 20 minutes of it, I'm not bothered that it's historically inaccurate. If it was completely accurate people would cite that it was in modern English as making it fraudulent.
It was just generic shite. Pick 5 cliche characters/storylines and ensure they are deployed within seconds. Makes GoT look slow paced.

I also didn't get on with Bioshock, I had the same vibe with Uncharted. Though in the case of the latter it was difficult to expect a great deal from a game even I would class as old.

Talking about good games, I beat Pontiff Sulyvahn on DS3 on the second time of asking and, flush with sucess, downloaded DS2 Scholar of the First Sin which is only 8 quid on PSN, just in case you don’t have enough misery in your life.

Morning!
I know you're all dying to know so I'll put you out of your misery. I did it. Finished the Community Centre on 11th Winter thanks to a very lucky rabbits foot drop. Now, onward to the plat. Haven't missed a recipe yet and have managed to catch the legendary fish in the last two seasons so all is on track. Getting all the villagers to like me is taking a while though, picky bastards. Luckily, most of them seem to enjoy mayonnaise, which helps.
Also finally managed to bag a PS VR over the weekend. Bargain price too. Just under £200 for the headset, camera, GT Sport VR and Doom VFR.
Overrated games?
Anything where people tell you to 'endure the first xx hours/ levels/ areas, it gets good after that'. A game should be fun to play from beginning to end, except Souls/ Bourne. They should be a stress fest.

for all you Souls fans the podcast 'Wizard and the Bruiser' are doing an episode on it. Their stuff is usually very in depth and well researched so I'll be listening to it even though I didn't play Dark Souls.
