Is Baby an actual flat Earther, or just relaying their arguments? Baby, are you a flat Earther, or are you just relaying their arguments? The arguments for a flat Earth are just plain stupid. Look at the pictures from space ffs. Just relaying. Though I do find their troll like arguments compelling...

The arguments for a flat Earth are just plain stupid. Look at the pictures from space ffs. There are many pictures on the internet and in other media depicting the earth as being round. Why do these not disprove flat earth theory? In general, we at the Flat Earth Society do not lend much credibility to photographic evidence. It is too easily manipulated and altered. Many of the videos posted here to "prove a round earth" by showing curvature will show no curvature or even concave curvature at parts. The sources are so inaccurate it's difficult to build an argument on them in either case. Furthermore, barrel distortion and other quirks of modern cameras will cause a picture to distort in ways which may not be immediately obvious or apparent, especially without references within the picture. Photographs are also prone to distortion when taken through the bent glass of a pressurized cabin as well as atmospheric conditions on the outside. With this litany of problems, it's easy to see why photographic evidence is not to be trusted. It's also worth noting that if a person were to look down at the earth from high above, they would expect to see a circular shape where the sun's spotlight was shining. This explains why high altitude photographs are generally curved to produce the illusion of a round horizon.

This idea is catching on. Now my forehead is completely flat from slapping it whilst reading that website. The arguments for a flat Earth are just plain stupid. Look at the pictures from space ffs. "In general, we at the Flat Earth Society do not lend much credibility to photographic evidence." This is all part of the giant space exploration conspiracy, don't you know. They photoshopped a round earth into those pictures because that is what everyone was expecting! I like it how their most compelling argument is that the earth looks flat to everyone, but then dismiss the question "As a passenger on an aircraft, how is it I can see the curvature of the earth?" by saying how the person is mistaken and cannot trust their own eyes. Also nice how their explanation of magnetism flatly(!) contradicts their own map.

So...what about the moon? That thing is clearly flat. You can tell just by looking at it The more troubling issue was the discovery of a world war 2 bomber on the moon in the 1990s. Surely proof that there is indeed an atmosphere in "outer space" and the cover-up about the vacuum in space is to scare off any intrepid explorer from getting high enough up to debunk this round earth nonsense.

I would seriously try and get another job for as much money as I could as a priority. In the long term you'll far better off unless your payment is particularly big and you're really old. Bear in mind also that applying for jobs when unemployed right away sees the salary offered plummet.

I think whoever thought it up did it to challenge themselves and now they've accidentally created a cult of people who should be culled should the earth run out of resources, which might never happen if bountiful lands are discovered beyond the icewall... or inside the earth as hollow earthers would have you believe. I can't get my head around people believing this stuff.

I have no confidence in abilities. Its a weakness.

Finding a job doesn't have any impact on redundancy pay. You only lose the redundancy pay when you start a new job, or am I misunderstanding what that person is saying?

I think the fact that The Flat Earth Society claims to have members "from all around the globe" rather undermines their argument somewhat.

Booyah. With regards to the abilities/confidence part, just remember no new employer will know you lack anything. An interview is like a blank canvass for lies, especially if you work for a big company that gives the bare minimum reference.

Years ago I was having real trouble getting a better job. Was advised applying for jobs you didn't want to get real life no pressure interview experience, which really did the trick for me. you get good at your job and writing an application/CV (or at least can get help) but hardly anyone practices the part of the application process that really matters. Good luck with the job searching and hopefully something good will come up for you.

I remember hearing something about flat earth societies, that a lot of them are made up of people who just think they’re trolling everyone else, and none of them really believe it

Who lives on the other side of the earth then? Australians? I suppose on the other side of the earth there are only the four elephants that stand on the giant turtle.

How was he ballsing it up? Once he chucked the quadrant down in the field did he not count the daffodils correctly?
