*Shuffles feet...* ahem... I have an admission to make ... I am deeply ashamed that for months I have been saying I'm 70 next week. I think it's psychological I think. I don't mind being associated with 68 or 70, but 69 is going to lead to all sorts of jokes about having my head up my arse... I was revealing to my closest Nursey friend my plans to give all the Nurseys a 70 pin for getting me there, when she said: "A bit early ... you've a year to go." Oops |

Amazon - delivering ca. 11-1 are now 4.45 - 6.45... Instead of using the Hemel Hempstead depot they're using Luton. The difference is that satnavs take the Luton guys cross-country along tree-lined lanes and streams. In this weather. The Hemel depot gets here up the A41 dual-carriageway until the outskirts... Hemel stuff gets delivered witin the 10-12 window as predicted, the Luton is invariably 4-6 hrs later |

Question to 70+ gamers. How did you get into gaming. Never met any and I used to work with the elderly. Bah! I'm a year away. I've been a games fanatic since the age of 6 when my Dad made the mistake of teaching me to play Chess... I think I am abnormal in that time spent not playing games has always felt like a waste of time. I got good at the jobs I did by playing them as a game ... Oddly, only one of all the medical staff I've talked to has been into games - a WoW fanatic - and that is it. Joining an OAP club is my idea of hell... chances are none of them would be into video or strategic board games. |

My pal had a similar experience. Chatting away to someone he met with his mum and talking about he was turning 40 next birthday. His mum.said "you'll be 39 next birthday" and he's thinking to himself "Christ Jean is losing it..". She wasn't he was.

In other news, since the current E-shop sales are almost over, I bought all the Dooms cheaply. All of them, including 64. When will I play them? I don't know.
I also got some smaller games for free or almost free through the reward scheme. Thanks, Doom Guy.
