Ganes: Control, for 10 minutes. Telly: Picard - no idea what's going on. I must have stopped paying attention at some point. Ottm: yesterday I fitted 3 inner tubes to a new wheel to set up my new turbo trainer, and all 3 popped after 5 minutes use. It's irking the fuck out of me. The latest one hasn't burst, but the tyre looks like it's sitting unevenly, with some parts narrower to the rim, as if the tube is somehow more inflated at some points than others. How is that even possible? I am at a loss. WHY IS LIFE SO FUCKING HARD??? Hi, by the way. you’re only supposed to use one at a time, also you touch yourself at night. This is a question for a Belgian, or some such other perverted user of turbo trainers. PD Malc, for example. What I do know is that not all tyres are good for them. Plus it sounds like I built your wheel. Asymmetric circles are a speciality of mine. Dammit, you were my last hope, Obi-Wan Kenobblers. I'm just going to have to oval my own way the fuck out of this one.

Morning 'box. Games: FFVII remake demo played through again. Things I did differently this time were - 1) Put some thought into the combat and actually got the hang of it, it's a lot more nuanced than I originally thought. 2) Set the bomb timer to 30 minutes instead of 20 to see if anything changed. It didn't as far as I could tell but then what do I know. I cannot wait for 10th April and the long easter weekend. Booze and FFVII remake for days. OTTM: Watched Liverpool be shit against Chelsea. Chelsea's 18 year old looks handy. Can someone explain the logic of bringing on a sub to change the game with < 10 minutes left on the clock - I've never thought that was enough time for anyone to affect anything substantially - are there any stats out there to prove me wrong, bringing on a sub for the purpose of winning the game when you're 2-0 down with 10 to go...surely it's a < 1% chance of it working. OTTRM: Not much. Hope you're all feeling as fine as you can be today.

Possibly - except the last one I fitted was fine until it burst (quite loudly, late in the evening), so I suspect it's some kind of human error. This is made all the more likely in that the human in question is me.

There’s no need for an anti static bracelet, the Atari is powered by steam. Atari? Oooooft. It's been nice knowing you, danky. He's obviously confusing him with atapal

Started watching amipal 's sweet content and had to stop and comment, firstly love the funk intro and secondly; where is the anti-static bracelet? <edit>Also working on a carpet?! Thank ghod, someone else warning our techno-wiz that he's rolling the dice against the static zap that will destroy one of his by now crazily expensive old crocks...

If you have a suitable tyre on, try putting more talc in to allow the tube to shift against the carcass, to reduce lumpiness. If you don’t have a suitable tyre on, then shere is no pleashing you.

I had a bit of a mind thing where I got that bit in dark souls with the tower and the roof section with the midgets stuck in my head. I was thinking how glad I am I’m playing 3 since that bollocks is in 2. Some latter googling revealed the tower bit at least is actually in 3 - undead settlement or whatever it’s called. I suspect the roof midgets are too. Top banana.
Wiggler Wednesday question - is 3 worth finishing? What’s the best cheaty weapon?

afternoon all,
I am allabout possibly getting Far Cry 5.
Rome 2 Realised why I have not finished this in the past. The wait at the end of a turn is getting up to 4 minutes. All this so I can possibly have a scrap in 3 turns.
hmmmm. The love is starting to waver...
wanna shoot me some cultists.

Morning
Also working from home. So far I've had 2 major issues that require me to be back in the lab, so I am pulling in as many favours as I can to get my benighted co-workers to do my job for me, while I sit here slurping spicy noodles and sausages. I have not told them that. I also haven't told them about the fresh cream cake that i'm about to scoff. They're far too busy anyway.
Chessblog! - 2nd semi-final match yesterday. Epic battle with a prolonged endgame of my 4 pawns against a bishop and 2 pawns. Should have offered a draw but thought i'd get something home and played on regardless and lost. Score is now 1-1 with 1 to play and the organizer wants us to livestream it. No pressure there then.
Small gaming window later, wherin I shall continue to plant cabbages and wheat in DQB2.

I was called into the office for an "essential" meeting. 40 minute drive, got to the office only to see the person I'm supposed to be meeting drive past me. Meeting rearranged for Friday. I may spend the next 3 hours sat in the car by way of protest.

It's fucking cold - top joints of my fingers have gone a white with hint of blue... although it's the side effect of Reynaud's Disease* which tried to eat the nerves there back in '14... I blame amipal ... Transfixed by impending doom watching his latest video I didn't notice the cold was creeping down my fingers Something else we can blame amipal for ... * Reynaud's Disease can be caused by an infection that that happily chews up the nerves and blocks the arterial flow, even after it's been seen to by the medical equivalent of MrTiddles ... Of all the examples I've seen, I've never seen the pastel blue my fingers were when I was rushed into A&E. One of the arsenal of tablets I have to take every day is Nifedipine. Doctors know little about Reynaud's.

Worry not, kind people of NuBox - I had an anti-static band around my ankle (it kept catching on the case when I first opened it).
Granted, I should definitely have done all this on a table. Which I will next time.

Chelsea's 18 year old looks handy. Best player out of the Rangers youth academy in over 20 years, snapped up by Chelsea for £500k when he turned 16. To be fair, it seems he made the right choice to leave.

But, just to be on the safe side I'm going to stop reading crankcaller 's posts Just wash your hands for 20 seconds if you read one of them. If you can't count to 20 seconds sing 'Happy Birthday to you' and use MrTiddles as in "Happy birthday Mr Tids..." and you've covered all your bets. (Squints at Oz). But baking a cake for the song might carry its own hazards ...
