If Pat Rothfuss actually publishes it then, I’ll be happy. I’m not going to hold my breath though.

Morning all.
I've finally managed to get my latest Sweet Content finished, exported, and uploaded. It isn't the best example of SC you've seen, but does address a very niche issue in the Amiga community.
Gamesblog - some DQB2, addressing my subjects' room preferences. Not entirely sure if they're "achieved" though - I got one of the blobs of colour filled, and can see that I've got the right size/fanciness/look to it, but the other blobs don't flag. Now trying to sort a room for Ordelia. She wants the moon on a stick, that one.
TVblog - TNG, "I Borg" - cleansed the palette after Picard.

HI! Ganes? No. Telly? Veep. Terrible work done badly? Yes. Beers? One. OTTM? Although I appreciate his workout and enthusiasm, Joe Wicks at 9am is starting to get on my scone. Last week it was 'shout out to all the Brummies' (acceptable badinage); today it was 'big ups to George Ezra for "representing" on a global scale', while playing that godawful George Ezra song (a very bad business). Shenguin what is the story with the bad dog? I thought you liked dogs?

Saw this comment yesterday (can't find who posted it) under the G story yesterday that Cummings has self isolated with the virus:
'Our thoughts must be with the virus at this difficult time.'

Ezra has a fantastic voice but such awful, awful songs. It’s like the bastard incestuous chinless offspring of Toploader and Jamie Oliver in audio form. Head to toe Abercrombie and Jack Wills on a weekend at Abersoch condensed into a waveform and beamed out of radio 1 on an otherwise pleasant summer afternoon. The audible aftertaste of a Prosecco and jägermeister chunder.
He could have been a Don Van Vliet with pipes like that, though. Still could if he stops what he’s doing immediately and takes up painting instead.

Who the fuck is George Ezra? lad with a guitar on radio one. Great pop-baritone voice, songs written by Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings.

Hmm. I have just googlized. I have heard one of his songs, and disliked it immensely. Congrats to him on the whole global thing though.

I have finished The Mirror And The Light by Hilary Mantel.
I loved it. Sort of.
I mean it is very well written, thoughtful and a great book. Four stars recommended.
However it is also a 900 page meditation on death Highly appropriate, very topical etc. However if I had known the world was about to end I would, perhaps, have chosen something a tiny bit lighter and rather less thought provoking. I am pretty certain it will run away with book prizes. It is too good and too topical not to.
Also the trilogy is well over 2,000 pages without a single map. She should have included some maps. It's not right. Plus do not read the books one after the other. It will be overwhelming. You need a good gap between them.
I would recommend all of her books. A Place Of Greater Safety is really good.
I read Beyond Black and Every Day is Mother's Day back in the 1990s. They are light comedies and nothing like her historical novels. They were perfectly acceptable and reasonably funny. It's a long time ago, but I remember enjoying them.

George Ezra are only the band the Beatles could have been.
Games - Crossing Animals. The Cantelope, part antelope, part cat. Hopefully got the game truck turning up with a shittruck of ganes in short shrift. La Mulana 1&2 and that Granblue.
OTTM - this clock change has knocked me for six. I've been up to all hours and then awake early at 11 in the morning. Fortunately wiggling from home due to the apocalypse, every cloud has a silver lining.

Veep is tremendous.
If this virus/isolation thingy keeps on going for another two months I could manage to get £500 paid off my credit card. I'd be off my chump - but it would be worth it.
TV. No Ganes. bit of Animal Crossing & a good dchunk of The Division two. Mission and a couple of boiunties on challenging.

The clock change has been tremendous for me. Normally you lose an hour - we actually gained an hour. How you ask?
Child normally goes to bed about 19.30. Wakes anytome from 6 am. On Sunday she woke at 7am bst and went to bed at 19.30 bst - so an hour earlier! She's woken at 7am the last two days and I feel refreshed like one of those Wall Street guys that get their blood replaced every three months.
As the mornings get brighter she'll be waking again at 6 or earlier - despite the blackout blind.

Everyone watch the Only Connect final last night? Not as hard as previous years, I thought, except the walls. Final edition of Round Britain Quiz too - I am a bit annoyed that they run simultaneously rather than consecutively, and am considering an angry email in the direction of Robert Robinson or Barry Took.

Last week it was 'shout out to all the Brummies' (acceptable badinage); today it was 'big ups to George Ezra for "representing" on a global scale', while playing that godawful George Ezra song (a very bad business). Shenguin what is the story with the bad dog? I thought you liked dogs? Best Friend Dog was a collie dog, until a couple of years ago, when he turned into a dead collie dog. <momentarily looks wistfully into the distance> I like a lot of dogs, but not all.
Temporary Dog belonged to 12y-o’s Dad. He’s a young Staffie with a bit of Alsatian, and is too big for the house, not a breed of dog I have ever liked or been comfortable around, he’s not suitable to be unsupervised around 5y-o, and is accustomed to being walked at a time of day when I would rather be asleep. We can’t meet Temporary Dog’s needs properly. As you might imagine, this has been the source of some tension, but 12y-o is actually very mature, and alongside everything else he’s dealing with, he’s recognised and accepted that Temporary Dog can only stay with us until we can find him a new home. Hopefully that will be nearby so 12y-o might still get to see Temporary Dog sometimes. Coronavirus will naturally make the rehoming process slower.
Fucking icing on the cake, I’ve realised I can’t call him Hated Dog, even on here. I’m sure he’ll be a great pet for the sort of person who likes dogs like that. I don’t like Temporary Dog and don’t like being around him, but also feel a bit sorry for him.
Anyone fancy a Staffie cross? Best dog ever, honest. Just say the word, and I'll drive him straight over to wherever you are.
