Your face causes problems.
I've just put the tyre back on the front wheel of our bike and put the wheel back on, sorted the gears/chain of the child's bike, assembled a swing ball set.
What have you ever done?

Morning! No sign of the promised lockdown-defying sunbathing temptation weather. I blame Matt Hancock. TV: having run out of Midsumer Murders we gave HIGNFY a chance. They followed the "webcam at home" trend of various US late night shows we've been enjoying. There's something about this format I really like, presumably because it mirrors what YouTubers have been doing for yonks. I just don't need the audience laughter. After that the "Quantities" episode of QI, the title of which both Pref. Mam. and I misread as "Quarantines". Ganes: AC:NH and I'm going everywhere barefoot because I haven't got any matching shoes for my egg party dress that is my favoured outfit for now. Before I was wearing a Covid-19 approved face mask, which I wished I had kept on when I found that snotty-nosed piglet Daisy Mae this morning literally last minute. My finances weren't in great shape, so my investment in Sow Joan's Stalk Market is minimal this week, but at least I got the neeps rolling. I have two new villagers: Deli, a lazy monkey whose name I keep forgetting (apparently named after the city of Delhi, so I should really remember that) and Bubbles the hippo. Like everyone else I'm keeping up my hopes up that sometime I will find Audie, the most famous new character, named after the woman who was playing Animal Crossing even more than I did which I didn't think was even possible. A few days ago I watched her unpacking her Animal Crossing Switch and starting her island in New Horizons (I know that Lurk McLurkface said he's done with 'heartwarming', so maybe this isn't for him. Apologies.)

I went outside with a book, and sunbathed while doing it.
It was in my garden though, so fuck off Hancock.

I want to open the gates to my island but probably not tonight as from 8 p.m. on I will be following Andrew Eisen's weekly Social Distancing Live Stream instead of watching the Queen's address to the nation. youtu.be/rl_lYh_cQMAToday's game will be Subnautica.

My PC monitor is blank on boot, I've checked the monitor and cables, the connections in the PC, cleaned the ram, it occasionally boots to the bios.
The PC boots fine all the lights and fans working, since I'm drinking I'll leave resetting the cmos tomorrow.
I'm not a happy bunny though I will enjoy the roast chicken I'm currently cooking.
<edit>I don't have a win10 boot disk because I upgraded directly from 8.1 and didn't make one, dumb move.

Hope you are all having a good weekend Games - finished resi 3. Really liked it & jumped straight back in. 6 hours 30 something minutes on the clock & a C rank. I really liked it. A lot more straight forward than 2 which I don’t think is a bad thing. Also played and finished twin breaker. Half decent game but the top & bottom panels messed with my mind a bit. Hope you are all safe.

If you have a TV and a PC graphics out cable that ends in an HDMI connection you should be able to use your TV as a monitor. At least that way you may be able to see if it's the monitor or, ghods forbid, the PC. If it's the monitor then check the fuse in the mains plug. If it's 13 amp and it's blown there's a good chance that the monitor is gone. If you have to replace the monitor, then look for an equivalent or at least make sure your PC can drive it. Get a surge protector - crazy the number of people who spend a grand on kit then begrudge the tenner to protect it... While you're hooked up to your TV, if it works, retrieve your w10 product key www.groovypost.com/howto/find-your-windows-10-product-key/If you have a dvd burner... make a bootable DVD with the w10 install on it www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-download-install-windows-10-iso/

Thanks, I know it's not the monitor as both it and the cable work for the Switch via HDMI. <edit>I already tried the TV no luck, the fact that it occasionally boots to bios leads me to believe it is a software problem.

I finally finished watching the repeat of the 1991 cup final. Was surprised to note that in the on-field break before extra time, the Motherwell players seemed to be drinking tea, one of them even out of a china cup. I had imagined that this practice went out with the hobnail boots and pig bladders.

Windows 10 needs reinstalling. Or you've got a dying hard drive or graphics card. The good news is that a Windows 10 reinstall isn't too bad. I didn't lose any data. Just a few broken links. It takes a while though. And you don't know if it will work until it is done. On the plus side i've got 21 months extra use from a pc I thought I had to replace. And it works better once reinstalled. I did a full reset, but without ovewriting data files. I'd apologise for the power on comment, but I'm not sorry.

I just want to return to a time when sitting on the sideline making unhelpful jokes was the socially responsible thing to do.
Is that too much to ask?

Nah, she is a bit more behind the scenes anyway, it's another dude who is never off the radio. What she was thinking, though? Imagine risking your health, reputation and career just to spend a weekend in Fife.
