Thanks, I know it's not the monitor as both it and the cable work for the Switch via HDMI. <edit>I already tried the TV no luck, the fact that it occasionally boots to bios leads me to believe it is a software problem. Have you plugged anything else in to your setup recently? A new mouse, new RAM etc? Also once you get to BIOS have you tried turning off and immediately turning back on? |

What happened was I turned it off unplugged the keyboard to clean it and then once plugged back in there was no windows boot. What I will do is muck about tomorrow and if nothing happens mothball it until Mr Hancock lets us out of the house and then get someone to look at it. Thanks for the suggestion though. What will then happen is that the Pref.Mam. will move into the small room to do the wfh stuff and all I will be left with is 10" and 8" tablets a smartphone a 40" TV a Switch a PS4 Pro and a comfortable couch. The horror. Might download FF7 remake if its on the PSN |

Felice there trying to put on a decent act of pretending to have “accidentally” broken the PC so he/she/it can play on the Switch all day. My guess would be the part where you dunked the motherboard in a vat of lard was what did for it.
