The start of TLOU is bleak but there is at least something uplifting about the end. LIS2 has a grim beginning and an even grimmer end (admittedly, we seem to have somehow got the worst ending). crankcaller Nothing personal on the brioche front, you absolute monster. SPOILER IF YOU LIVE IN 2010There's an ambiguity about the end. He refuses to let them do the research that might fix the virus as it will kill Ellie. I know in the game it is presented as some sort of redemption for Joel, but the potential cost is enormous. He put her and himself above everyone else. And lied to her about it. I did see it as upbeat, but not unreservedly so. Also I played the DLC straight after the main game last time. That is not upbeat. I liked the ending as I didn't see it coming. It was only then that I realised that the story was not about saving civilization, but about Joel. I liked it so much that I am not sure I do want to play TLOU2.

I thought it was a shame it didn't put the player in the position of having to make the choice at the end of TLoU. I did however very much enjoy the final scene. Joel is stone cold.

I didn't realise there was a sequel to Life is Strange. I enjoyed the first one.

I am starting to enjoy Borderlands 3. I like my gun selection now and I have a sweet radiation gun which melts people. Having played BR games non-stop for a few years it's a nice change of scene.

Hey all, One of the upsides to the lockdown is that I'm more focused on my podcast. That's possibly also a downside. Carrying on with Cities Skylines. It's incredibly addictive, even when not doin much just looking arounf and tidying up a street or putting in a path. This is worrying. Perhaps I should pick up with FC5, getting to the point where I gave up the last time. No more stealth, just fiery deaths. Podcast link? I keep losing it. I need something edifying to listen to today. The podcast is called Ancient History Hound and you can find it on most platforms, even Spotify. If you are on a place where you can review I'd really appreciate it as it helps get more listeners. 4 stars entirely understood, unless it's out of 10.... ancientblogger.libsyn.com

I should probably start TLOU. One day... you'llbe able to play it for real if things continue.... I'm thinking of replaying Fallout to remind myself what type of items will be worth keeping. I'm already hoarding bottlecaps.

Greetings.
Couldn't post this morning as the Error Bear had mauled the server again. No breakfast due to lack of breakfastable materials until the care package arrived in the shape of a grocery delivery that was unceremoniously dumped at the front of the house. Then a late veritable breakfast feast (Hot cross buns! Butter! Bananas! Apples! Teas! Coffees!).
No sooner had I replenished fridge, freezer and cupboards than I was once more overcome by FOMO as I suddenly remembered that this weekend is Easter. Secured another delivery slot in a week's time! (There's definitely more slots available now though everything is still very expensive at full price.)
Whilst I was still doing the online shopping the doorbell rang. This turned out to be a wine delivery I had slightly lost track of.
Then I rang my surgery and asked about my prescription request (that is still showing up as 'rejected' on the system). They had done it but sent it to the wrong pharmacy. Rang said pharmacy and asked whether they would be able to deliver the meds to me. "Of course" they said. "Would tomorrow be okay?" Yes. Yes, that would be very okay.
tl;dr: Everything is coming up MilhouseTent Hen

It's only the faakin weekend.
The next 4 days should see a change to the daily routine of work - childcare - Tiger King - sleep. Mainly because there's only one episode of TK to go.
Might start Resident Evil 2 if I get the chance.

I really don't fancy playing russian roulette on the basis of those tests ... so far this virus has proven pretty damned virulent and I have no intention of finding out if that's true ...

From what I've read actually catching it from surface contacts is very difficult but I'm with you being safe rather than sorry so avoid if you can.

Does anyone understand Kane's posts? Anybody?? Maybe if I had written whooop instead and something "this is jolly fun", would that have helped! (smiley face smiley face)! edit:yawp noun a harsh or hoarse cry or yelp. "the cur did not bark, other than a single yawp" verb shout or exclaim hoarsely. "the fans screeched, yawped, and pounded their palms" the end
