I’m on tender hooks here.
How did Scubar get on?
Did he pay for their meal, did they kiss, will they see each other again?
This forum needs a SoulMates.

Is Scubar actually going for a decent job or we looking at a lot of effort for what will be the manager of a Denny's restaurant in Breckenridge?

Hadrian's Wall ends at Wallsend of course.
Or at Bowness on Solway at the west end. It is not particularly close to Barrow on Furness which is at the SW end of the lakes. about 80 miles by road.

He did mention about it being relaxed, and maybe we could conduct it on the couch. Oh Lordy. Sounds like a hands on approach.

It’s not til half one, I’m currently on the train in, so I’ve got past that hurdle.
And it’s for a real job. Similar to what I currently do, Just marine based.
Yes, it’s a beachside cafe.

In all honestly Londoners are most miserable, unfriendly buggers these isles have to offer. 1. North Wales 2. Fife 3. East Yorkshire 4. London 5. Surrey Which reminds me, in the alps recently I was standing next to a middle aged guy from Essex with the most Loadsamoney accent imaginable, looking across the clouds at Mont Blanc who genuinely said “it’s fackin incredible innit, it’s beyond fackin words. Fackin sublime” I’d absolutely love it if he got a job doing the audio guides for the Louvre or the Rijksmusem. “This dutch cunt is the facking daddy, the quality of the light he captures is just fackin unbelievable, I mean, just look at it, you slag”

In all honestly Londoners are most miserable, unfriendly buggers these isles have to offer. You're mistaking busy for unfriendly. Londoners are incredibly friendly, generous and open-minded in my experience. We just don't have time to sit and chat with a cup of tea, because you know we have jobs and need to prop up the rest of the country.

I'm not able to have lunch either until 2pm, but I hope that my trusty cup of ramen with gyoza will be there for me.
Lunch plans? Cheese sandwich for Baby after the recent prawn sandwich hedonism?
