If I'd known churches had golden loot boxes with dried up old heads in them I might have shown more interest. Having a bit of an off day, cant be putting up with this shit for another 5 years or whatever the guardian was saying today. Played more Animal Crossing today, havent figured out what Im supposed to be actually doing yet, but its certainly a change of scene when I'm not playing Doom Eternal (Which Im totally clear on what Im supposed to be doing, murderising evil demons).

How’s your head?
I’ve had no complaints.

BabyfarkmcGeezakI must load up NMS again. Hello Games have been busy in my absence and added living ships and mechs as well as other stuff. Colour me intrigued. I'll probably start a game on 'Dirty Filthy, Cheaty Casual' (aka Creative mode) and just pootle around the universe.

In Other News: I have spent much of the afternoon sitting in the garden, in the sunshine, reading, listening to a couple of Atletico Mince podcasts and drinking gins and tonic.
This pandemic, grotesquely shit as it is, has its upsides

My partner has had a few off-days. I've reminded her that we're both luckily still employed, have a good bit of space both in and outdoors, have plenty of food and drink, and are all healthy. Things are much worse for some people out there.

Animal Crossing. When do I get to start breeding the visitors? First you need to build a secure basement...

I'm actually enjoying Normal mode now as I think they tweaked how the game tutors you at the start and it all seemed easier this time around. Basically get as much Sodium for hazard protection and oxygen for life support from the off and then fix your various tools and follow all the prompts the game gives you. Still, if you start off on a stinker of a planet it will be tough. Also, when finding buried resources on PC make sure you keep the F button pressed down, I was messing that one up for ages.

I found the displaying of a head much less disturbing than the style with which it is done. I mean it is pretty much normal to display parts of your fallen enemies or heroes right? Thanks for the heads up... And don't the Scots claim that fitba' started when a group of Scottish reivers started kicking the head of a dead* Englishman around? Probably a pleasant change from kicking the live ones around. Quieter that's certain, but I suspect the urge to do so hasn't been lost. Got my £8 cd of CAUSE & EFFECT's Trip album; really pleased to find this.

Think it's fair to say that Captain Tom Moore is fairly knocking it out of the park this afternoon.

FYI. Had a moment earlier, where the wife was running around shouting that the freezer wasn't working and that her food was defrosting. "I've checked the socket and there's nothing wrong with it!". I had a look and said "What? This socket?", flicked the switch on at the wall plug and... hey presto!*
* She'd turned it off in error last night, I assume. I do worry sometimes, about life decisions and so forth.

Hello Chatterbox,
Games: Final Fantasy VII (original version) as you'd expect it looks dated, but the PS3 HD upscale does a good job, so I'm enjoying the nostalgia so far.
TV: Community and 30 Rock; both have laugh out loud moments.
OTTM: the sharing of emotional events; sympathies for everyone going through a bad time just now
