Should I quietly mention I won a solo Fortnite game?
Yes, yes I should.
What have you ever done?

I also discovered that if you climb out of a helicopter seat while flying it's more difficult to get back to it than you'd hope. But on the plus side the helicopter did safely land itself with me as gunner.
This was actually in the game I won as well. Just goes to show you can't beat a bit of stupidity.

I have just seen that Trump is defunding the WHO. I don't know what to say. The words to describe how I feel about that do not go together in that order. I mean what can you say?
What a grim day.

Ice Cubes not so successful follow up tune. I always thought Trump was a narcissistic fool, but he apparently doesn't care what history will write about him. He assumes they'll think he was correct in all his doings.

Morning all, thanks for the kind words yesterday, the "funeral" is today, ten allowed to go, six in the main room and four in the foyer. My parents are going to be in the foyer. Apparently we're sorting out a proper wake when this shit is all over. But that could be months. Be tough on my Mum if her Dad dies now, as much as I hate the man, I don't think her mental health will survive that kind of send off, she's fragile to say the least. Games: None, couldn't muster the energy yesterday after my bike ride. Fillums: Watched Spoderman FFH - a bit of light fluff, but I'll take anything to take my mind off the situation right now. Four stars. OTTM: Have a question for Sheep2 as he's older than me (I think).

Sheep - if I say a pub called The Highwayman, do you know to where I am referring? Sutton-ish to help. For the spreadsheet(s), I am 44 in 10 weeks and left school in '94 following A levels to head off to the big wide world of university.

Trump is going full narcissist. There is a mild disbelief over how WHO have accepted some of the data from China, their Coronavirus stats are about as believable as their GDP growth.
Normally leaders find a war to help dig them out of dropping approval ratings. Trump's just continuing his version with China.
If Biden doesn't do anything silly he might have November.

Morning all!
The history books aren't going to be kind to the man in the Oval Office, not at all.
TVblog - more Justified, with guest stars Tony Hale (Buster!), and Robert Picardo (EMH!).
Gamesblog - no way.
OTTM - sorted through my paperwork box to locate my lens prescription. No dice.

Morning, games none. Preferred mammal has been watching quiz cheats or just someone with a very convenient cough, apt. Random numbers; pick something and just randomly say them at a press conference. Also seems to be working for picking on someone to blame.

gameschat.
I did have Far Cry New Dawn ready to play but it seems a bit, well, shit. Instead got back to Skyrim and finished off the Miraak Quest.

The Toby Carvery on the way to Shenstone? No idea where that is. Never been drunk there not me.
Though to be fair if you name a road around Sutton I can confidently name the pub and will probably deny having been drunk there.
Also Boldmere and New Oscott. Most likely Kingstanding and Erdington as well In fact pretty much everywhere I've been...
God I miss pubs.

Hi.
Gane: 10 minutes on AC Odyssey. I impaled Tom Nook on a rusty level 2 sword and detached his mangoes as an offering to Zeus.
TV: Started watching Save Me. It is quite horrowing - like a cross between Line of Duty and the Royle Family.
Ottm: I only really wanted to find that book about Irish history which I don't have because I had been watching Derry Girls and realised that I didn't really know much about Cromwell in Ireland, and didn't want to make a faux pas like the chap in the programme the next time I was speaking to an Irish person. That's the kind of decent human being I actually am.
Beers: some.

Rolling A short summary Cromwell led the New Model Army to Ireland following the victory over and execution of Charles I. Ireland had been pretty revolting for some years.
It started in the summer of 1649 with the Siege of Drogheda and subsequent massacre (which has been completely forgiven and forgotten about and is in no way bitterly commemorated*). He followed this up with the sack of Wexford and another massacre. Then conquered all of Ireland in short order. Setting up a strong Protestant Ascendancy and expelling the local population from much of Ulster and the Pale. Which also has not caused lasting bitterness and rancour.
* Not the battle or the Boyne or the execution of St Oliver Plunkett. The Boyne was in 1690 and is just outside Drogheda**. And has also been quietly forgotten.
** A large part of my family are Drogs***. None of them remember any of these events happening personally. Not that you know that if you spoke to them. Drogheda is a niceih lttle town half way between Dublin and the border on the east coast. If you want to see old battlefields it's really great. Also
*** Also the name of the gang in A Clockwork orange. Coincidence? I don't have a clue

Hello. It’s all going pretty damn badly but you don’t need me to tell you that. I’ve ordered more wine. Animal Nerding actually looks pretty appealing about now; it’s that bad.

I don't have a clue No, Sheep, no it is not. *kicks Sheep2 in the yarbles* The locals pronounce it the same way and used to use some Clockwork Orange Stuff for their football team. The spelling variant really didn't mean much to them.
