From the Gruan... Prof Keith Willett, NHS England’s director for acute care, said: “The number of people who come though the A&E door with DIY, leisure and gardening injuries is striking. Working as a trauma surgeon for over 30 years, it has been frustrating to see how many people come to A&E with injuries that could have been avoided with a bit more care.”So some are doing DIY for the first time in years. I wonder how that will go...

Hello.
Ganes? No.
Telly? The thing about Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Not bad for ITV.
Ottm? This morning I was the victim of a drive-by reply-all to nearly 100 people. The suppressed urge to send a passive aggressive reply is almost overwhelming. On the plus side, we have just taken delivery of a large amount of ice cream from a prominent local supplier of Italian descent.

Morning
Due to running out of essentially everything, I have been to ye olde shoppe. I now have 2 litres of spirits and associated mixers, and enough handrolling baccy to stop Mrs gong going all PUBG on me with a skillet. While driving back, I witnessed what I expected to be some kind of Mexican standoff, where 2 women each with a baby buggy were on a collision course on the same bit of pavement without the required 2m manoevering room.... what I wasn't expecting as one of them to socially distance by blithely push her buggy into the fucking road in front of me without even looking! As I hit the brakes I clearly though that if I heard bottles smash in the boot I might have justifiable grounds to get out and rattle her til her teeth fell out, but all was well on that front, and I made it home with my booty intact.
Rich, and compelling.

Glad to hear gong has kept his booty in one piece. It’d be terrible if it had a crack in it.

Seems a bit odd for other issues jumping on the clapping-band-wagon. We all know that the Thursday clap is in support of the NHS - if you dilute it with other issues, then what are people clapping for? You just don't know.
Maybe do something different for your issue? Star-jumps? A silly walk? Emptying a bin into the street? I don't know.

I know a guy* who is genuinely offended that he isn't covered in the approved clapping list, as he's had to give up some of his precious time being unemployed/unemployable to look after his kids.
"I don't see why doctors are so special. I've had to make sacrifices too"
*it's not me.

I basically take that as medical opinion by proxy.
