Cocaine has been found being smuggled into the UK in face masks, masks are being checked to see if they can be used but what about the coke? Games, spider man and there has been the big end game start, quite appropriate compared to today's life.

I love both of these. In my top 3 US comedies. Always Sunny in Philadelphia as the third? Also laugh out loud funny. I stopped watching it when my Netflix subs ran out No, Arrested Development. But you've got me thinking now, because It's Always Sunny is also one of my favourites. Hmm.

Morning all! Gamesblog - gave Prime Mover a quick play last night on the Amiga. It's a motorbike racing game - very impressive refresh rate in it gives a great impression of speed. TVblog - Justified and Lexx. Oh, and Sunday's Race Around the World. Camerablog - well, iPhone camera anyway. Documented my visit to the pharmacy where yes, I finally managed to get the new puffer for the boy after three weeks of visiting: The World Changed. OTTM - I did some more coding! A great way to get the brain working while stuck (mainly) indoors. Chucked the player ship into a hardware sprite, and now it moves independently of the scrolling background.

I've been playing Fallout 76 Wastelanders it has:
1. Human NPCs 2. Dialogue choices 3. Skill checks 4. Separate instanced locations so your choices are restricted to you 5. Factions with reputation levels 6. New quests and locations
If they had an offline mode, so you don't keep running into other "lone" wanderers, it would be an okay Fallout game.
4*
<edit>They also introduced companions

Apropos my freezer comment yesterday, I had resupplied my stocks a few hours earlier in the day. So, not really affected. OTTM: Got the date function on my watch working, 'cos I am ace with all LED watches (apart from that bastard Commodore). Also, inspired by Chumbles Edward II post yesterday, I watched a program about him this morning*. Unpleasant scenes. *Edward II, not Chumbles.

Edward II was almost certainly starved to death or smothered. There is a small possibility he was sent to live in a convent in Italy. Some intriguing hints, but nothing more.
The poker story was first mentioned after the death of Richard II. This doesn't mean it isn't true, but it is unlikely. There was a big taboo in killing an anointed king. It is why starving or smothering is most likely. That way no blood was shed.
Of the kings of England killed at that sort of time (ish)
Edward II starved Richard II starved Henry VI probably smothered Edward V starved or smothered (probably by Richard III, but possibly by Henry VII) Richard III - died in battle

That, b.. b.. baby (stuttering this morning) is a published historian with a specific view of Eddy 2's death, not necessarily the right one. How did he really die? Dog knows...

'Danny Dyer's Right Royal Family' on BBC had a good bit about Edward II's life and death. Frankly, I would take Professor Dyer's word on the matter over any of you slaaaags.

“Now what the fuck?” is my simple morning prayer and has been for about three years now. It is a moment for quiet contemplation of the day that is to come and a brief reflection on the past. Whether I am being rudely awoken by the council refuse operatives, quietly reading the morning paper, or simply hearing the neighbours’ Douge de Bordeaux savaging a careless intruder, it reminds me that, although the world is a changing and changeable place, it at least has a constant trajectory.

I'd accept there is very little evidence about how Edward II died. While pointing out that the absence of 'contemporary' speculation is not evidence he wasn't starved to death. Apart from anything else there are relatively few non official documents from the 14th century. Given the enormity of the offence of murdering a king the people involved were not usually inclined to discuss it. Certainly not on paper. Particularly after the Treason Act of 1351. The problem was if conspirators fell out they would end up at Tyburn having their balls and entrails burned in front of them, while still alive following being hanged and drawn. Also find out what happened to the people who signed Charles I death warrant after the Restoration. As for the idea no one was deliberately starved to death in the Fourteenth century that is laughable. Just ridiculous. There are some detailed accounts from the Hundred Years War (and earlier) of sieges where the attackers deliberately starved civilians so that the garrison would get the idea.

Only one way to settle this: Destry! How did Edward II die? It must have been on the wireless at the time.

Morning reprobates. Games? No. Tv? No. Films? No. Books? Also no. Building a hammock using some fence posts but getting one of the cuts slightly wrong so now it’s become a two man job to complete? Yes. Cutting the fence post and the cut bit landing on a paving slab and breaking it? Also yes.
